Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, along the driver's-side frame rail.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today, we'll be taking a look at part number C55250. This is a Curt T-connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow packages. This is designed to fit a 2000 to 2002 Ford Expedition, 2000 to 2002 Lincoln Navigator, 2000 to 2002 Expedition with factory 4-flat connector, 2000 to 2002 Lincoln Navigator with factory 4-flat connector. This is going to provide a 4-flat, or 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. This is designed for use with factory tow packages and it's also compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters that are all sold separately. One of the neat things about this system is that it connects quickly and easily. There's no need to cut or splice wires.
All you need to do is locate the connection point, plug it into the factory wiring and then allow the other half to hang out the rear of your vehicle. This does come with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector. It comes with a couple zip ties and a self-tapping screw. That way you can easily install the ground plug or the ground wire. The custom fit T-connector is going to plug into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is going to located behind the rear bumper along the driver's side frame rail. Once you have the install complete, once you have this plugged and your ground secure, the 4-way connector will stowed beneath your vehicle need the rear trailer hitch.
