And when the rain stops, the fabric dries quickly to minimize the development of mold and mildew. The top panel blocks the roof of your trailer from mild sunlight as well, protecting the cover from cracking and fading.
How to Measure Your Horse Trailer
To determine if this cover will work for you, measure the overall length of your trailer from the very front to the rear bumper, making sure you're accounting for any gear on the back. The cover isn't meant to fit over the tongue of your trailer, so don't include it in your measurements. Then measure the overall height from the bottom of the trailer to the top. Do not include any AC units, vents, or antennas in your height measurement, as the cover is already designed to accommodate them.
Securing the Cover onto Your Trailer
First unroll the cover and carefully spread it evenly around your trailer, making sure you don't pull too hard and tear the fabric. Once the cover is in place, wrap the elasticized hem on the cover around the bottom corners of your trailer to remove any excess slack in the material. Attach the included cinch ropes to the front and the rear of the cover and pull on them until the cover fits snugly around the contours of your trailer. And then toss the weighted straps underneath your trailer to the other side and buckle them together, which keeps the cover secure and prevents it from flapping in the wind and damaging the paint job.
And if you need to grab supplies, you can use the zippered panel on the passenger's side to easily access the interior of your horse trailer without having to completely remove the cover. You can also unzip the entire panel on the back of the trailer so you can open the tack door and load and unload gear.

Initially I was very satisfied with the cover. After 1 year there were some tears from the material flapping against the trailer body on the bottom edges. The 2 year anniversary just passed earlier this month (Oct 2023). This past weekend (Oct 22 2023) we had some mild winds, 15 - 20 mph. I noticed a tear had opened over the air vent (white plastic cover) in the dressing room area of the trailer. Later that morning, the entire cover roof ripped apart. See attached photos. I discovered that the trailer cover only has a two year warranty. I will start to look for another trailer cover manufacturer who uses better materials. Very disappointing.
This cover is great! My horse trailer is 14ft, but with the hitch its 16ft so i opted to get the 16ft. It covers the hitch perfectly!!! My trailer is 7ft tall on the inside and the cover reaches down to the tires and covers most of them! It has zippers galore for easy access and it has Velcro at the bottom so the zippers dont come undone. The straps go right under the trailer and buckle tight. Only thing that sucked was getting it on the trailer, i ended up using a manure fork to prop it up and over. Lol
I have 16 foot bumper pull that has a pretty steep point to it. It measures 17 feet to the end of the hitch. I purchased the 14-16 cover, and it fits perfectly and covers the hitch!It (it also covers most of the tires.) It was very easy to install with just a ladder, and I loved that it has the 3 straps that attach underneath so the wind doesn't carry it away. I took the advice of other reviewers and covered any sharp edges on tailer with foam. Im very happy with it, and it came within a couple of days of ordering it!
The cover completely shredded in less than a year and had to be thrown away. Additionally, with a couple weeks of use the lights and other protrusion on the trailer poked holes through the cover. The company told me to contact the manufacturer regarding warranty. Turns out the cover is not rated for NM, and no warranty. This is small print that I didn’t see. Even if not rated for NM weather, it should have lasted longer and been more durable. It is made from flimsy material. I just purchased another cover for the same price with a life time replacement warranty for all weather.
Very nice product. I used this past winter 2018-2019 and it held up very nicely. Only problem we saw when putting it on this year was some wear on it when it was pulled taunt against a corner by the step up to the door or side manger of the horse trailer. We used some duct tape to reinforce it for this winter. Otherwise quite happy with it and would recommend it .

I am actually going into the 3rd winter with this product and it still looks excellent. My husband put some thick Styrofoam where the stress points are by the fenders. The zippers line up perfectly with the horse trailer dressing door. It is easier for 2 people to put it on plus a ladder. I would recommend this product. We will see how it holds up this year to north east Ohio winter.
The design is great and it fits my 6x12 enclosed trailer well, but the material tears easily. I'm not the most careful person in the world, but I tried to be careful putting this on my trailer, and I got a 12" tear in the front and a 2" tear in the back. I will sew these up, but I foresee a lot of sewing in my future as I will be taking this off and putting it back on once a month. I'd rather pay twice what I paid for the same design with better material. Once this cover fails, I will probably find a heavy duty tarp and figure out a system as I can't seem to find other alternative covers.

This covers dimensions are 192 inches long x 106 inches wide x 94 inches tall. To determine the proper fit, measure the length not including the trailer tongue and sidewall height undercarriage to natural roof line, and the widest point of the trailer. This cover is designed to accommodate rooftop accessories such as AC units and vents.

Not as I expected. It has worn through in several places causing rips and holes.
After one hot summer in Georgia, an examination just a few weeks ago reveals a lot of loose material(deterioration) from the thicker roof part of the cover. The sides and front/back have held up fairly well but are very easily punctured. Zippers are still working fine with no loosening of the seam.
The cover was great and shipping was unbelievably fast! Glad I purchased.
These covers dont last long in the sun of Phoenix az area never get a full year out of them but they are cheap enough to at least cover the roof and prevent rubber roof damage.

I would have given the cover a 5 star rating if it didn’t tear on some of the corners. Overall the cover was great. I had sold the trailer after the cover was on for the year so I can not say how long the cover would have actually lasted. Price wise if I kept the trailer and got two years out of the cover which I believe it would have held up I think the price is right on point. I would definitely purchase another cover from etrailer!

This cover was so disappointing! The other cover lasted for over a year. I don’t know if you have changed manufacturers, but within 3 months it had ripped and in less than 6 months I had to throw it away because it was useless! Money absolutely wasted! I would never buy this cover again. Now my trailer is unprotected with an unsightly tarp over it. I would not recommend this tarp to anyone!

This is the second cover I've had to purchase for this trailer. The first one was destroyed in the first year by wind. Instructions should caution the installer to pad any tight or sharp corners, they wear out quickly. Fit is good, but it would help if they would put extra padding on corners.
It took a few bungie cords and ropes to make it fit, but it will work. Better than paying over $800 for one to custom fit my Ironhorse trailer.

The cover is still working fine. Takes a little while to get it on because of all the bungie cords and ropes, but has protected the trailer
Cover not made well, fabric is too lightweight and tears to easy in the wind once installed on to the trailer. I won’t buy again.
No rain yet to test its efficiency, but I did discover it really does take 2 people to put it on -- one to help hold it while a 2nd person on a ladder hoists it up onto the roof. After that is done, pull it down to drape on both sides and in back/front to center it, then attach tie-downs. Plenty of extra size.
Fantastic experience end-to-end. Great website with product selection and detail videos. Once ordered, they provided location tracking of the package - delivered on time in 2 days for free. I haven't used the cover yet. We have a couple more weeks before winterizing.
Order arrived in 2 days, fits like a glove. Kind of wish I had ordered the 16' to 18' size to go over the toung and jack but it fits fine. Happy so far, just put it on the trailer yesterday. Bad weather is starting this coming weekend.
I was pleased with rhe ease of ordering and the timely delivery. I am 72. I got to teens to help me cover my horse trailer. It was done within an hour on a windy day. I live in a bery windy and snowy area. We'll have to see how it survives our winter. I am pleased with my purchase, so far!
The corners over the foot rail edges tore the first winter. This was disappointing.

It is sometimes suggested to put foam or pool noodles around sharp edges to preserve your cover.

My trailer cover is holding up nicely after a year! our climate has rain, snow, ice, sun and alot of wind and the cover is doing a fabulous job. I keep it in the shade so i cant attest to what the sun may do. It has a couple of tiny tears on the bottom corners where my trailer is sharp, where i didnt do a great job of putting foam protectors on. I have taken it off and on a couple of times and its been easy. Im very happy with it! It is also breathable, so nothing in my trailer or tack room is molding.
