Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look the Stretch Net from Yakima. It's gonna be designed to work with their SkinnyWarrior Cargo Baskets. So it's going to be unstretched, 55 inches long by 21 inches wide. This will fit with this version of the SkinnyWarrior, or the one with the extension piece in the middle, because you do get quite a bit of stretch out of the net. But this is a nice way to secure down all of your gear inside with sort of this one solution.
Rather than running a bunch of individual straps over all your stuff. Let's check it out. Now, a cargo net is a great way to just secure a lot of stuff pretty easily, but I like this one a lot because it's designed to work with the SkinnyWarrior. You've got these dual hooks on either side. The larger one for the thicker bars, either on the subframe or the very top of the basket.
I chose to wrap these ones down and underneath just because it fit better with our cargo. Or, you can flip it around and use that hook on the smaller bars as well, the smaller hook that is. So no matter where you need to hook up to you can get a good strong hold on the net and they just snap into place. And it fills me with a lot of confidence hearing that snap, because I know it's locked in place. And I was really impressed with how well it actually worked around a large variety of items, because we've got a big height difference between our lawn chair and this tote here.
But the net is stretching around the tote, getting a good strong hold on it, so it's not gonna go anywhere. But then, the stretchy material of the net wraps down tightly around our lawn chair right next to it. So I'm not worried about either of them going anywhere. The net itself is going to be rubber underneath with nylon over the top. So it's gonna have a good amount of stretch but it feels fairly durable too.
I don't think this is going to be anything super heavy duty, but with a 165 pound weight capacity for the basket you're using it with, I don't think we have to worry too much about the net being overloaded with stuff. And overall, if you have the SkinnyWarrior Roof Basket, I think this is a great solution to get your stuff tied down and secured. It's a lot easier than messing with a bunch of individual straps, all the pieces on here are either that nylon material or a plastic. So I don't have to worry about if I drop one of those buckles hurting the top of my roof and scratching any paint with metal buckles. And it just makes everything a lot easier. It went on really easily. Those hooks snap into the bars really well. And whether I've got the smaller or the larger version of the SkinnyWarrior, it's gonna work just fine to get all of our cargo secured. Thanks for watching.

If only one is broken or even a few are broken the net should still work fine. If needed, you could always zip tie the net to the basket in a pinch. Otherwise, you'd need to replace the cargo net.
