Video Transcript for Aries Seat Defender Bucket Seat and Headrest Protector Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Adam: Hi everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Aries Automotive Universal Seat Cover for our 2020 Chevy Silverado. So this is going to be a universal seat cover, it's going to cover your seat and also your headrest and that's how it goes into place. We are going to have a nice little elastic part on the back here, so we can go ahead and start by putting it on our headrest and it's just going to drape over our seat. It's going to be great for protecting it from whenever we're doing work. Let's just say it's kind of rainy, muddy, gross out and you get maybe some of that stuff on your pants or maybe some grease or something like that and we really don't want to get into our cloth seats here.
So it's definitely going to be easier to clean everything up whenever we are done getting everything all dirty.As you can see here, we do have a little tiny stain here and that's from, I guess, just using it over the however months we've had this. It doesn't really have a whole lot of miles on it but it already has stains on it, so that just goes ahead and shows you guys how important it is to protect your guys' seats. Whether it's a truck and you're just protecting it from all the work nitty gritty stuff that you guys usually just grind it into your seats, this way it's going to protect all that. If you guys have a van, you guys got kids, they usually probably leave a decent mess, we can even go ahead and throw them on the back, the passenger side, or even just the driver's side. It's definitely going to limit all those spills and stuff like that, that the kiddos might bring to the table.So the nice thing about it is if we do get a spill it is going to be relatively easy just to ball it all up, pull it out, you guys can hose it off, wipe it off, or you even just throw it in the machine washer real quick.
The nice thing about this seat cover is we don't have to get it just for this truck, if you guys had multiple cars, let's just say a van for the kiddos, you can go ahead and throw it in there really quick it should have a decent fit. It's going to be extremely easy to clean. We can either hose it off, wipe it off, or just take it out and throw it in the washer, which makes it really easy to clean. And also for those pets, I hate cleaning pet hair out of the carpets and out of cloth seats especially. This is going to keep all that pet hair and then you can just take it out and wash it.So definitely a plus and it doesn't really slide around a whole lot.
I think it will have a better grip on leather seats, that's just my opinion. It does have a nice rubber texture to it on the bottom, so it doesn't necessarily slide around that much. So if we're getting in just sliding on the edge there, it doesn't do the greatest job of sitting into place but I do think over time you guys will get it to where you know where it's not really going to slide around near as much, so that is definitely something I look for. And also, it is going to be water resistant so it's not going to soak in and eventually get to your cloth seats, so if you guys do have a spill, you'll have time to either just redirect it out of the car or soak it up, wipe it up and then get back on the road. Super easy to install, just throw it over and then go ahead and just work it down on that headrest and then of course just spread it out in front.Get it lined up and we're pretty much done.
Very, very simple stuff and like I said, we can throw it on a lot of different seats. So let's go ahead and see if we can throw it on the back seats. I remember when I used to play ball I was always extremely dirty, especially with all my baseball gear. So if you've got kids it's definitely going to help out with that as well, not near as good of a fit in the back, but again, it just hangs on that back headrest. Place it down and this is just going to protect the back seats as well. So we are going to have some options when it comes to color, I picked the gray just because it kind of goes with the gray interior of the truck, but that is all up to your guys' preference.We do have a couple different colors. We have gray, as you see here, we're going to have black. We're also going to have camo for you guys who are out hunting and you like that and maybe it goes with the theme of your truck or something like that. But one thing I don't necessarily love about this seat cover is just the fact that in the back we don't really have any strap or anything to secure it into place. It really does hug the seat pretty well, but my preferred seat cover is the etrailer Cargo Protector and it is going to have that little strap to keep it nice and tight on the seat. And also, the seat cover on the etrailer Seat Protector is going to be a little bit more tight, it looks a little bit more clean and I like the looks of it from the front as well. So if you guys come up to the front, you can see the difference between the two. We have a really tight fit on our headrest.We are going to have a nice little fit around here and then also down here. I think just the material being a little bit more malleable and it just conforms to the shape of the seat. This one does but not near as much, so that is just something I like to throw out there. I like that one a little bit better and again, it is machine washable and it does the same exact deal. But at the end of the day, all we're really looking for is to protect our seats from any further damage because at the end of the day, this is our investment. We are in this truck almost every single day, going to work, going to side gigs, bringing the kids to soccer practice, whatever you guys may be doing. And it's definitely going to get the job done, but I would definitely recommend a seat cover just because stuff happens. Other than that, that's pretty much all there really is to know about the Aries Automotive Universal Seat Cover on our 2020 Chevy Silverado.

I really wanted to like this seat, cover and have it work for us, but there is no way to keep it secured to the seat and that is a big problem. We will have to return it and keep looking.

I purchased these covers for my 2015 F350 ranch rig with driver side seat starting to tear. I like the appearance of the covers and they feel plenty stout and look good. The only thing I wish they had is some way to attach the bottom part to the seat. By design, they just hang free off the edge of seat where your legs are. The only way it stays on the seat is by the 'hood' that goes over the head cushion on the seat. I love etrailer.com, though. Solid company with folks that care!

I really like these covers. I was expecting something lightweight, but these things are heavy duty. They don't slide around on the cloth seats, and are not hot, made several 7 hour trips, and didn't sweat the first time. I am going to order a set for the 2nd row seat.

These are just as described and will help save my seats on those sweaty, rainy, dirty days out and about. But etrailer is the star here. I am stoked by their customer service. It's so nice to find a responsive, attentive retailer you can trust.

Still amazing! I traveled all over the PNW in my Outback last year, and my seats are still pristine. I actually never take them off as they are very comfortable and I have no one I am trying to impress.

They protected my cloth seats from wear & tear in numerous instances. Water spills will pool up on the seat cover & allow you to cup it & toss it out the door without any damage to seat or floor. Also same goes for debris , sand, rocks, etc. , Just grab cover & toss out the door, so easy, highly recommended. They fit well & are easy to remove & replace. Once in a while you may have to slightly adjust over head rest. What I really like is that the bolster air bags are not hindered in any way but even more is that the wife likes them, happy wife happy life!

Perfect! Rock solid service from etrailer as always.
The seat cover works perfectly for my needs and I like how I can deploy it quickly over my Audi Sq5 seat to avoid mud, sweat, and snow. I like the rubber tacky backing to the cover so it stays in placebo avoid any shifting.

Mostly what I hoped for in a removable seat cover, I have it in my f250 and I just can’t sit on the leather seats, I still don’t get the idea of leather seats in a pickup truck, and this seat cover protects well. The only time I took it off was when traveling to Arizona so the seat fans would be felt. The cover is all gathered up in the back with elastic around the headrest probably so it can fit multiple vehicles and be removed easily but the elastic looks a little weird from the back seat. Overall a durable product I would buy again.

I have enjoyed these seat covers to keep the seats clean in my 2021 Hyundai Palisade. I get in and out of the vehicle in my fishing waders, hunting gear, work clothes etc...and they have worked great!!
They fit very good on the seat and I only have to adjust them a little when getting in the vehicle which takes only a second or two to adjust the material to my liking.

Easy to put on and take off the seat. You don't know it is there. I needed something so I could slide/twist into the car because of an injury. This lets me do that. I work cleaning in a automotive dealer dealership so my clothes are sometimes dirty when I get into my car going home after working. Having cloth seat this cover is great for covering my seat. It will be easy to clean too. My wife wants me to order one for her side so when we travel and eat and drink on the run her seat will be covered and protected also. It looks just like the picture posted. Shipping was fast too.

Product works as described in sales add. Put one on the driver's seat for now, about a thirty second job, & will save the other side for later. Have to keep the ride clean 'cause the bank still owns it for another 4 1/2 years! Customers should realize this is just a quick slip on cover & not some custom made cover. As a just retired mechanic, I can understand the liability issues when covering an air bag or modifying any safety items. That said, great job again etrailer, & hats off to George for great customer service! Thanks again.

three boys under 6: these are bulletproof. Saved the car many times. They are thin and to me they don't seem to prevent car seat from being pulled into the car's seat. Love them. I like the gray too. They are not tailored, but they keep milk out of my fabric seats, easy off, easy clean, look brand new- so 5 stars.

this is a simple design... has a tacky, but non sticky fly paper like underside to keep the cover in place while entering/exiting the vehicle.
i got it to try on my van thinking that ill buy more when bringing in other vehicles for service to keep oil off my seats,etc.
price is very fair for the quality of the item...
it is a krinkly canvas type material... waterproof too. no, it does not make noise when moving about in your seat.

Great seat covers for our black seated Nissan Rogue S! We are now in Hawaii and these seat covers will come in handy for wet bathing suits, sand and will not be too hot for us to sit on in the heat here! We love them already since they come off easy to shake out and put back on! We recommend these covers for practicality!

I have owned one for my drivers seat for 2 yrs and is starting to show signs of wear so i am moving it to the passenger side for the rest of its life.... far less use and purchased another for my drivers seat. They are great, cause you can just slip it off and throw it in the washer, the rubber backing makes it stick to the seat and they are super easy to install, just slide over headrest and your done.

Still not great, thinking I will get new covers that stay on the bottom part of the seat better, would not recommend these.
