Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And we're taking a quick look at the GSI Outdoors handheld pack grater. This is going to come with a cover to go over to keep it protected and also keep your stuff protected from any kind of undue damage. So, it's gonna be similar to a lot of graters that you'll see for home use. It's just gonna be smaller and a little bit lighter.
So, let's take a closer look at it. And I will actually test this out to see how well it does at zesting a small little clementine. So, this is maybe not how you're gonna be using it when you're out on the trail. But just to kind of give a demonstration of what to expect. I'm just gonna pull across there.
So it seems to do a pretty good job. You can see the zest getting pulled back there. It smells wonderful. And then you would jut wanna take a spatula or something of course and clear that off. I'm just gonna use my finger since no one's gonna actually be eating this.
But it seems to do a pretty good job. And then cleaning it shouldn't be too bad. I don't think there's gonna be too much problem. Just need like swishing it around in water to get that cleared away. It does feel pretty good in the hand.
It has a little rubbery grip to keep your hand from slipping. Although I will say just from kind of playing around with it, I can already get my thumb underneath that. So, how long is that gonna last How many times can you use it before that's gonna get pulled up Don't know. But that is a possibility there. I'm looking for labels as far as dishwasher safe. So, it doesn't say that you can put this in the dishwasher. I would think it'd probably be fine. Putting stuff in the dishwasher can prematurely wear your stuff but it is stainless steel. So it shouldn't really have any issues with rust or anything like that. It does have a little hook on the end. So that makes it pretty easy to hang it up to dry. You don't have to worry about finding a surface to set it on for that. Again, the little lid just kind of keeps everything protected. It weighs about two ounces, a little over two ounces. As far as measurements, get rid of my orange here. And then I'm gonna have to go wash this thing. It's about seven and half inches long. And about two or excuse me, about one and three quarter inches wide. Thickest point is gonna be the handle. Which is about five eighths. It is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. And that's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the GSI Outdoors handheld pack grater. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right choice for you.
