Ellen: Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, we're to get a quick look at the GSI Outdoors Escape Bowls with Lid. Now these come in one of two colors, so you need to get the blue or the green. I just want to show you both, so you know that they're available in those two colors, but they are sold separately. So the nice thing about these is, that whether you're a backpacker or an RVer, space is always at a premium. So this is going to give you a nice bowl with a lid, so you can keep your leftovers fresh and still have a receptacle to eat out of, but not take up a ton of room. Even if you have a set of these, you should save a lot of space, so you can keep your kitchen organized, you can keep your pack light, whatever the case might be. So let's take a closer look at them and how they work, to make sure that this is the right fit for you.So the lid will lock into place.
Just turns and locks in there and then opens up, so it locks into this ring that goes around. To open it up, just press the bottom and then it pops up. These bowls can hold about 22 fluid ounces. So, that's just shy of three cups. So a pretty good amount of stuff to put in here and there are some little markings on the inside as measurements.
I'll come around and show you those. It's going to be hard to kind of see them, but right inside the edge there are rough estimate of measurements. So it kind of helps to use these. You can use them as a measuring cup as well. So you have 16, eight ounces, and then 500 milliliters, 300 and hundred. Collapses down pretty easy.
They are dishwasher safe. They can handle being frozen or putting boiling water in here, so it should be good for all kinds of use. At least I say boiling water because it has a marking on the bottom that says it can handle 120 degrees Celsius and water boils at a 100 degrees Celsius, so shouldn't have any issues with that.So if you wanted to make like a dehydrated meal in this, I don't think that there'd be a problem with that. The base is made out of nylon and the rim, or the sides, are made out of silicone. So, should be pretty nice to keep all your stuff safe inside there.Again, if you want to seal up everything inside with it popped up, it's just a matter of turning that lid to lock it in place.
Has a little handle to make it easy to grab on to, hang up to dry, or what have you. And it seems like it does hold air pretty well cause it's not really wanting to let me collapse it with the lid down, or with the lid on there. So that's pretty nice to let you know that it is pretty air tight.Whenever it's collapsed, it measures about an inch thick, maybe about an inch and a quarter. The longest point here is about seven inches. Diameter is about six. Whenever it's extended out, it's about two and a half inches tall. Each one of these weights about six ounces. They are covered by a limited lifetime warranty and that's pretty much all there is to it, to our quick look at the GSI Outdoors Escape Bowls with Lids.I hope this has helped in deciding if these are the right choice for you. We do have a lot of other GSI gear here at etrailer.com, so you should be sure to check it out. All kinds of stuff for RVers and outdoor adventures in general. So, yeah, I hope you enjoyed this video and thanks for watching..
