Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at Coughlin's 12 cup stainless steel coffee pot with percolator. Now, this stainless steel coffee pot is gonna be perfect for you, if you're looking to make coffee at your campsite or in your RV or camper, and really an essential element of a successful camping trip is the ability to make coffee and this coffee pot is going to give you that ability. Let's take a closer look at it. Now, this pot can make up to 12 cups of coffee. You can also use it to make tea or hot chocolate and so this is gonna be great if you have friends and family with you at your campsite or in your RV, and this is gonna provide several people up to one cup, maybe even two cups of coffee so a pot this size is gonna be great for that. As you can see this has a wooden handle and this is going to stay cool while you're serving that hot coffee either for yourself or to your friends and family and what's nice about having a percolator coffee pot, especially at your campsite is you don't have to worry about paper filters like other coffee or other coffee makers.

So that's gonna be one less thing that you're gonna have to worry about cleaning up the campsite, and you're wanting to keep your camp site as clean as possible so with this, you're not gonna have to worry about paper filters and to make coffee, all you have to do is fill your pot up with water however many cups of coffee you are wanting to brew you just fill this up with that many cups of water and then you put in the stem and then in the basket you put in how much coffee that you would need put that over the stem inside of the pot and then you put the top part of the basket on there. That's all gonna keep the coffee grounds from getting into your coffee and then as you apply heat to the bottom of your pot, like on a camping stove that is going to project the hot water out of the stem and then it's gonna come back down and go through that coffee and it's going to be brewing your coffee and then you can see through the percolator bulb, the color that that water is turning and when you see it turning to that nice dark color, you're gonna know that your coffee is being brewed and based on how dark you want your coffee, how strong you want it, this is gonna be the way to see when your coffee is ready. So again, this is stainless steel construction, It has a nice weight to it, the parts are gonna be precision fit because of the stainless steel construction and you can be confident that it's going to last you a good long time. Another plus is this pot is dishwasher safe. So let's take some measurements here real quick.

Just to give you an idea of the size. Now, including the percolator bulb here, just looking at how tall this is, we're sitting right at about eight and a half inches, and then without the lid, and without that bulb the height is right at about seven and a quarter inches. By the way, I didn't mention that this lid is on a hinge, so that's nice and you're not gonna have to worry about losing this lid and it's gonna be securely attached to this pot. Now, I'm gonna take the insides out here real quick as we measure the base here, see how wide that is and we are sitting right at about five and a half inches across with the width of the base and then when we're looking at the width of the top, I'm including the presser here to lift the lid all the way to the end of the spout, we are gonna be sitting right at about almost seven and a half inches, just straight across. If you're interested in the diameter of the inside of the pot, we're sitting right at five inches, and then looking at the handle, we're sitting almost four inches long or tall rather and then from the pot to the farthest end of the handle, we're sitting a little over two inches, maybe close to two and a quarter inches.

Now, the only downside of this pot, and it's really not a reflection on the pot itself, is the sticker here, let me zoom in on that again. That's, as you can see, that's gonna be very hard to remove and so just be aware of that, that this is, maybe use some turpentine or something else that's good at taking sticky film off, you're gonna probably wanna use that to get that sticker off and to give you the cleanup, that finish there, but I just wanted you to be aware of that. Also, as I said this does make 12 cups, if you're not needing to make that many cups and you want to take something a little bit smaller, Coughlin does have a nine cup version of this stainless steel and all the features are the same, but it makes nine cups, it's up to nine cups instead of 12, you can find that on our website, item number, CG44UV. I prefer the stainless steel coffee pots over some of the other aluminum options out there, just because of, I appreciate the build quality and also it's a rather attractive looking pot as well because of the stainless steel that it is constructed from. But if you are looking for aluminum options, we do have those here on our website at etrailer.com they're gonna be lighter pots and probably be a little bit less for you to carry weight-wise but for my money, I do prefer the stainless steel options.
