Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this GSI Outdoors, folding cutting board. This cutting board will fold in half to make it more compact, easier to store and take along with you, whether you're in your RV or camper, or if you're backpacking, it won't take up much space at all. And then it will unfold to give you that nice, solid surface to prepare your food at your campsite.This is made of a durable plastic, so you're not going to have to worry about it breaking, shattering, that sort of thing. And it is very lightweight.

It's only about nine, just shy of 10 ounces so won't take up much weight in your backpack. If you're carrying it around. When we have it extended like this, it is right at about 12 5/8 of an inch, by, call it 9 inches, and then it's going to be right at an eighth of an inch thick here. Where we fold it up, obviously that's going to double so it's going to become about a quarter of an inch thick. We're still at nine inches there.

And then we're at about 6 1/4 of an inch there.Couple of things I like about this, it does have the cutouts here along the edge to help drain our juices out so we can have a nice clean cutting area. It does have the spine on the back side. So it's going to close up and protect that. So we're not ever going to be cutting on that spine like we would, if we we're using the backside, we could potentially damage that. A couple of things I'm not so crazy about, one that spine does seem pretty thin to me.

And so it is possible that after a while, if you use this enough, that could become damaged. Obviously I haven't used this enough to know the longevity of it, but it seems like that could be a potential issue.Overall, I think it will do a good job for you providing a nice cutting surface. If you're wanting to chop up vegetables or skin the fish that you caught for the day, something like that, it's going to be a good option for you. It is very easy to wash, even at the campsite, just rinse it off with some water, scrub it with some soap, something like that, and then let it dry. Should be very easy to get clean and reuse for the next time.This does come with a limited lifetime warranty so you can trust it's going to hold up well for you.
