Hey, everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Coghlan's Camping Broiler Basket. Now this guy is gonna be the eight by nine inch version. However, there is a deluxe version also available at etrailer.com, which can go ahead and pretty much just be a bigger, better upgrade for the guy. But, if you're all looking for a way just giving yourself a small little set just to go ahead and give yourself and your small little group a way of cooking some food on your campfire, this can be a very decent way.

Now this broiler is gonna be excellent, of course, 'cause it is gonna be chrome-plated, so that just means that it's gonna be corrosion resistant and that chromate also makes it just a little bit easier to go ahead and have a more of a nonstick element, which may be great, of course, as you cook those steaks and those hamburgers, hot dogs, whatever. And you might start seeing a little bit of grease, a little bit of spill, a little bit of that blackness coming from it just kind of getting licked by the flames, so nice that we're gonna have a way of making sure that we have an easier time cleaning this guy, rather than being some kinda element that's just gonna make it stick and stuff like that. So, do kinda like that. And, of course, the big feature with this guy, you can have this nice little locking handle here. So you guys can see how that works.

Very, very long here, of course, for our handles, which is gonna be great to get us to that fire, of course, but as you guys can see, that's gonna give you a pretty big element here to go ahead and get whatever you guys need in here. Now I will say it is gonna be just a little more limited on space. You're probably looking at maybe a hamburger per side. These guys just aren't really that large. Now the deluxe is gonna be able to get you guys about four hamburgers total, maybe six kind of depending.

The one thing is, of course, if you're making them yourself, which kinda burgers. Now, your regular standard size patty is running about around four inches of diameter, so just kinda keep that in mind. It's hard to fit these in for that total eight inches of height. So, just kinda something you have to walk around for, or look out for. And I would say you could probably fit maybe either two or, for sure two, maybe three hot dogs per side on these guys.

And again, that kinda depends if you're getting the really beefy ones or getting the little small ones. Of course, that's gonna be a little dependent on what kind of food items you guys actually have with you. But still, gonna be a very decent way of just giving yourself a nice little cookout option. And, of course, really easy as long as we have one good fire. We don't have to kick on the whole grill, can make it easy to make ourselves some food here today. That locking handle makes it really easy to use too. As we mentioned, we just simply bring it down, slot that little ring on here, bring it all the way to the bottom. It's gonna go ahead and make it really easy to secure for ourselves, to actually get that set up for ourselves. And I really do like this length, of course. You're gonna be having to have this in the fire, so nice we can get that away from ourselves. A, gonna make it hard for that heat to travel up our length of our handle, but B, we're just farther away from that heat so we're not gonna be licking our hands, not gonna be too much of a rough spot for ourselves. It makes this easy to set up too. You can imagine if you had a little tunnel oven, get that set on that top log, and then you can go ahead and back rest this with some rocks or something. Makes it really easy to go ahead and put it on the side of your campfire, wherever you guys might be for yourself. So, we've already kinda broke down what we can kinda fit on here, but let's go ahead and give ourselves a better idea of the dimensions we're actually working with here. So, let me go ahead and grab this guy and I'll bring you guys in for a closer view here just to go ahead and see exactly what we're working with. So for our overall width here today, looks like it's gonna be putting us right at about 9 1/4, 'bout 9 inches in total really though, just depending on how this guy's shifting. You guys can see, not quite wanting to sit 100% there with ourselves. And that's one thing I will say with it too, that you guys can see it's just two separate pieces being held on here. So it's not 100% a great fit, but it's still gonna do a good job of holding onto our burgers and stuff. The spacing here, only about an inch thickness as well, so I'm not gonna be too worried about our food falling out of there, of course, which isn't too bad. But, we can go ahead and see exactly our height here today too. We are looking right about 8 1/2 inches, of course. And that gives you about that eight inches subset for the inside of your burgers as well, or your hotdogs, whatever else we might be taking with ourselves, guys. So, it doesn't take up too much room. Let's go ahead and see though exactly what it's looking like for its overall length here today. That's gonna the big thing for me. How well is this gonna be able to store One thing that's nice about it, pretty skinny. Like we said, only about an inch of thickness. Sorry, guys, can't get that to work with me. And you are looking about 29 inches there, guys, in total for that arm length. So, again, I like that length 'cause it gets me away from the fire. One thing, might be a little hard to store this guy. You're definitely gonna have to have a longer element. One thing I liked about the deluxe basket as well, A, it's bigger. It makes it really easy to go ahead and cook everything that I need, which if I'm cooking something, probably bringing some friends along. So, think I'm gonna go ahead and just get the bigger guy for myself. But one thing I really like about it too, these handles can actually condense down. It makes it really easy to store those things and I'm sure we all know how much of a pain it can be to go ahead and manage all your stuff that you might have in your camper, especially you start adding to it, it can definitely add up quick. So, one big advantage of the deluxe is that arm being able to shift down. Now this isn't gonna be the end of the world. Gonna be really easy to store outside too, as I said, overall. However, if you're really wanting this to last for the seasons to come, getting it inside is gonna be your best bet, and that might be a little harder to do with how long this guy is, but hopefully we have a little a side action for ourselves in one of our containers, not gonna have too much difficulty getting them inside there 'cause it is so skinny for our shelves. Well, guys, I think this is gonna be a nice little way of going ahead and making sure you can cook anything you guys want as long as you have one good fire to do so.
