Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Coghlan's s'mores maker. Now I'm not to brag, but I am a bit of a s'mores officianado. I'm probably the person in my family that is most likely to be cooking the marshmallow for someone else. There's just something satisfying about getting that marshmallow the perfect golden brown color, right before you put it on the graham cracker. This system is gonna be a little bit different than I've ever used.

I'm more of a traditionalist, so I put my marshmallow on the stick and get that all gooey and then put it on the graham cracker and chocolate. This is going to allow you to put all three ingredients or more, if you prefer, all together and then cook them all together over your fire. So I think the benefit of that is gonna be your chocolate is also going to get kind of melty, might start to soak into your graham cracker a little bit, might help to make the graham cracker kind of toasty. So I'm definitely a fan of playing around with the s'mores recipe. I thought I had invented a new idea back in high school where you put the peanut butter cup on instead of just the plain chocolate.

So I thought I was pretty innovative there. This is gonna be a nice option to kind of change it up if you're looking for a new way to make s'mores, maybe a way that's a little bit less messy, 'cause of course that's the worst thing about s'mores is how messy they are. So if you wanna have all the ingredients put together before they get all sticky and whatnot you can put 'em all in there and then get 'em all melted and gooey, ready to eat for you. This is gonna be a nice handle system so you can keep your hand away from the fire. If we zoom in a little bit, I can show you with my tape measure that this is right about, it's gonna be about a 17-inch-long handle.

Our overall length, now I can keep my tape measure out, overall, we're looking at right about 29 inches. And while this does have this foldable tray so you can put all your up to three s'mores in at a time and then close this over, so you can get that nice rotation going so you get all sides cooked evenly. It also has this slip ring here or sliding lock ring that's going to close those two handles so that you're not gonna have to worry about it falling open as you're turning it. So if you are looking for a way to cook your s'mores a little bit differently, you want to have all those ingredients together at the same time, this is gonna be a great option for you. The packaging does have some different variations on the s'mores recipe to give you some new ideas, if you're looking for that.

Overall, really nice way of changing up a classic with the s'mores. I still like the control that you get having the marshmallow on the stick, but this might be a new way to go if it helps to keep things less messy, and like I said, have some of those other benefits. It's never a bad thing to play around with a a classic recipe and try new things. So if you're looking for an easy way to make three at one time, that might be another benefit to this is that you might be able to make more at once so that everybody can be eating together. This is gonna be a really nice option for you. This does have a nice metallic construction, so it will hold up well. Might get a little bit warm on your hands, but you should be far enough away that you won't be too close to the fire. That metal won't get too hot for you, so.
