Get the safest and most comfortable ride while hauling your camper with tie-downs that mount on the frame of your pickup. Great for your truck's looks: remove the arms from the brackets and you'll hardly know that the brackets are there.
Features:
If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity will sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.
Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.
Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush with the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not hauling your camper, and the brackets will be barely visible.
Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.
Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).
Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the TorkLift custom front frame-mounted camper tie-downs. Now these are a custom fit part. They are designed to fit the 2019 and newer Ram 1500 trucks with the six and a half foot bed and without a board or a step underneath the truck bed.Now these tie-downs, they'll provide attachment points at the front of your truck for securing your bed-mounted camper to your vehicle, and the rear tie-downs we do sell separately on our website. Basically, one tie-down goes on the driver's side, one goes on the passenger side.
And if you'll notice, there's two holes on the insert, and this allows you to connect your turnbuckles from your camper to your truck and not interfere with anything on your vehicle. There's also two holes on the shank of the inserts, and that allows for different width campers. So right now, I have it the sticking out the furthest. If your camper's of a different width, you can just pull the pin out, you can slide it into the next hole, and then pin it just like that. So depending on the width of the camper, you choose whichever hole is correct for your application.
And we'll just go ahead and get it lined back up, put our pin all the way through, clip it, and you're ready to go.Now you'll feel dramatic improvement with the vehicle handling and stability, and this is the safest way to haul a truck camper, prevents any vehicle sway and camper movement in all directions. You can haul your truck camper confidently by attaching your tie-downs to the strongest part of your truck, which will be the frame. And vehicle manufacturers do recommend that all full-high sliding camper bodies should be directly attached to the vehicle frame structure. The frame-mounted design ensures excellent handling by securing the camper to the truck's base instead of just to its bed, which will better distribute the weight and keep setup from being too top heavy, and it'll also help avoid any bed or bumper damage that's common with other tie-down system. This is a fast, no-drill installation, securing your truck camper to your truck. It'll also help maintain the value of your truck, prevent rust and bed damage by avoiding any drilling into your truck bed or bumper.
And, as we've mentioned, these are custom fit for your vehicle, the driver's side and passenger side brackets. The brackets are designed to fit tight to the truck frame, so there's no loss of any ground clearance. So it's perfect for any off-road truck camping. And what's nice is if you remove these inserts, if you're not using a truck camper, you can always just remove these inserts just like this. And when you do that, the brackets here will be virtually undetectable when they're not in use.
You remove those inserts, and then what's nice is the hidden design of these brackets will return your truck to the original look when they're not being used as tie-downs. And then when you're going to tie down, just go ahead and insert your insert, line up the hole that you need it at. Once you find the hole, go ahead and clip it.Now, these are a steel construction. They have a nice black powder coat finish to them for durability. It does include everything laid out here on the table. The two tie-down inserts, the two frame brackets, all the necessary hardware to install it, and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this all goes together. These parts are made in the USA.But that should do it for the review on the TorkLift custom front frame-mounted camper tie-downs.
