Shane: Hi, I'm Shane with HR.com. Today, I'm going to walk through how to install the PTC custom-fit cabin air filter on your 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. Maintaining a new filter or replacing your filter every six months to a year is going to allow the airflow coming into the vehicle to be a lot cleaner, not only for you, but for your passengers. Keep in mind that when you turn your air conditioner on, all the airflow that is coming from outside or from your engine is going through this filter. So the more clogged up it gets, the harder your air conditioner's going to have to work.Keep in mind, this is a very easy installation. So don't waste your money on taking it to a mechanic to have them do it.
You can do it at home.We're going to come over to the passenger side glove box. We're going to open our glove box. You're going to pull in the sides, just like that. You're going to have a little rope here. You reach inside the glove box and right here, kind of slide it back and we're going to push it out through the hole.
It's going to allow our glove box to drop it right up here. This is going to be the door where your filter is. We're going to pull that off. We're going to pull out our old filter.Now our air filter is going to have pleats in it. And what it does...
it's going to collect all the particles. So if you look at our old one here, this one looks like it hasn't been changed in a while. You'll notice all the stuff that's caught down in there. As I mentioned before, the more stuff that gets caught in there, the better, but it's going to reduce the amount of airflow coming into the vehicle, your air conditioner, your heater, anything else is going to have to work harder. So again, you want to make sure you replace this every six months to a year.
I like to recommend if you're replacing your engine air filter to go ahead and check this and replace it at the same time.Now we'll take our new one and we're going to put it in place. You'll notice on the side, it's going to have arrows for airflow. You want to make sure you install it the correct way.Take it, slide it right into place and reinstall our cover.Once you reinstalled your cover, go ahead and reinstall your glove box and you're ready to go. This poor quality cabin filter doesn’t even fit the space for it and it’s way below OEM quality. Now, it that weren’t enough it came looking like a rodent had peed on it!

The PTC CABIN FILTER #3705 is a great value. Cost is always a factor when purchasing a disposable product, unless you have a lung disorder. Just keep in mind, it may be a long wait for delivery. Ours took several weeks to arrive ... Slow boat from China??
