Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, I'm gonna take a look at this Westin Fey Diamondstep chrome-plated steel rear bumper with the custom installation kit. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1989 to 1995 Toyota Trucks. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application.
Now this is a nice replacement rear bumper. Great to sturdy step so you can access your truck bed with ease. It is designed to match the factory specs to fit your vehicle's styling, and it'll add both utility and rugged good looks. Now on the top of the step, right up here, if you notice, it has a diamond tread design to it. This diamond tread step surface provides a nice traction when you're getting into and out of your truck bed.
And the bumper itself is made of a cold rolled steel which is strong and sturdy. You notice it is a nice chrome plating. It adds a nice look to your vehicle and resists corrosion. Now I did wanna zoom in and show you right at the center here. If you look on the bumper, there's the three holes.
These three integrated holes make towing very easy. All you need to do is add a hitch ball to that center hole. Now the hitch ball's not included. Those, we do sell separately. Now these holes are three quarter inch diameter holes.
So when you do buy a hitch ball, you wanna make sure the shank diameter on the hitch ball is three quarters of an inch. The holes, one on each side of the center hole, those are designed for safety chains. Now the towing capacity on this is 3500 pounds. The tongue weight capacity is 350 pounds. Does come with the license plate lights and hardware that'll wire into your running lights. You can see there's a light for each side. So when these are installed just like that. THere's the clips that'll clip and hold 'em into place, and the light will shine this way onto your license plate lights. Same way with this one over here. Now the wiring does come with the two bulbs, comes with the connectors to connect it to your running light system Also, it's nice, if you notice, comes with two inserts and two screws. And those are for installing your license plate to your bumper. You can see the two holes up here for the inserts to go into and the two screws to hold your license plate in place. Now this is a quick and easy bolt on installation. There's no drilling required. These custom brackets right here and the hardware is all included for installing this onto your vehicle. A few specs on this. We're gonna measure for you the overall length on this end all the way to this end. That's gonna be right at 61 inches long. The width of the bumper from the very front of it to the farthest part back is gonna be right at seven inches wide. And your total height is gonna be right at six inches tall. But that should do it for the review on this Westin Fey Diamondstep chrome-plated steel rear bumper with the custom installation kit..

I am very impressed with this bumper. I bought it as a replacement for my 77 Ford F150. I've been restoring this truck since 2006, and the original bumper was too far gone to save. I was trying to match the original as closely as possible and this one was perfect.
It came with everything needed, right down to the license plate lights and bulbs. It was easy to install with the supplied directions and it looks great on the truck! Good price, free shipping, and very good quality. Five stars all day long.

I ordered the bumper and mounting hardware and it all came quickly. It took me less than an hour on the install and everything was still in good condition with no scuffs or scrapes. Has looked good since and the plate lights still work

The bumpers exterior box was badly damaged and torn. The bumper came in good condition but we had to straighten one corner of the bumper that bent during shipping. Thanksfully we have an Auto Body Shop.

The bumper looks like what would have come on the truck when new. But the width is narrower the OEM. Looks like a bumper for a midsize pick up. It does not look like what is shown in the pictures. Does noes go the full width of the rear of the pick up bed. When I called about this, there was little care in my question.
So with that said, would I buy from them again, no.

Bumper installed easily and looks great. Frame bracket holes lined up perfectly, and the bumper lined up on the brackets with very little effort. It took me about 1 hour to remove the old bumper and install the new bumper. Recommend having an assistant to at least help hold the bumper while lining the bolts up. It is exactly what I expected. The safety chain holes are a bit further from the edge than my old bumper, but I picked up two shackles and that issue was resolved.

These are EXACTLY what I wanted for my 1970 C-10. However they do not fit. I understand it is a universal fit, but that is why they ask for the year so they can give you the correct brackets. Their response was "Your only other option would to have something or brackets fabricated to fit your specific vehicle." The whole reason I bought them was because they were supposed to fit. Maybe once I spend $[XX] in parts trying to figure it out and cutting into my truck! I will feel different, but i would have rather spent more money upfront and not have the headache.

I'm very satisfied with the quality and fit. Other bumpers on the internet may look the same but they are not the same quality. I tried a cheaper one and it was very cheaply made. e trailer is the way to go. They kept me informed
thru ordering process. E trailer and staff did a great job for me.

The new bumper arrived yesterday (very fast). The box was unfortunately very damaged and had been taped. I have attached pics of how it arrived.
I opened everything and amazingly all the parts are here.
The bumper did sustain a minor scratch but is not damaged or twisted.
I have not try to install this yet so with the minor damage shown how should I proceed?

bumper looks to be well made and sturdy I did not have a chance to mount it as of now because of the weather here but I don't foresee any problems

The bumper seems to be good quality but it arrived with scratches on the side from shipping. Also one of the light bulbs was broken in the bag.

WE ARE MOUNTING IT NOW AND IT LOOKS GOOD. IT DID ARRIVE WITH MINOR DAMAGE. THE TOP DIAMOND PLATE WAS LIFTING OFF THE CENTER OF THE BUMPER.WE WERE ABLE TO REPAIR IT.

finally got chance to install bumper on truck. the installation was rather simple a little akward for 1 person to do but I was able to install it fairly easily. This bumper is a great fit on my truck. The only fault I found was my truck had factory reciever hitch, so had to remove a bracket holding hitch to install bumper otherwise the bumper fit nicely. I would recommend this product to others. Attached are some before and after pics.

My Westin Diamondstep Replacement Bumper was installed almost flawlessly by a good friend. It arrived in perfect condition, and even had a replacement license plate light kit included that I wasn't aware of. As you can see from the photo, my new Westin Diamondstep Replacement Bumper looks great installed on my 1999 Dodge Dakota. If you are looking to replace your rusted out rear bumper, the Westin Diamondstep Replacement Bumper is a good choice.

This bumper did not fit my truck. The bracket kit that was ordered for it would not work, as my truck has a factory tow hitch. I have not been able to use the bumper.

1997 Ford F-350 XL 4x4 - Great bumper and excellent customer service from etrailer. My truck has the 37" width frame so you have to flip the mounting brackets so they are narrower to the bumper. Everything bolts directly on, no drilling.

Great product, especially for the price. Instructions and videos were good also. the only issue I had was the holes didnt line up perfectly on the frame, even though I had the exact year make and model of truck that the bumper was for. I had to drill one hole in each side of the frame to get a third bolt in (the rear bolt in the picture) and strengthen in up a bit. Id highly recommend this product and etrailer as well. Good experience!!!

Hi
Bumper came in box thin box with no end protection so the ends are chipped an rusting
Area for licensed plat
Mounting screw holes are to far down so tags are below metal edge of bumper
Police can’t see tags
I had to drill holes in licensed plat a raise up plat
Now licensed plat is to high up / past the top of bumper/ so tailgate hits top edge of plat
I had to been top edge of licensed plat backwards
Something wrong with bumper size
I probably should of returned an got original equipment bumper
I thought I was getting original equipment
Don’t buy
