Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Linear Dragon Waterproof Blue LED Boat Accent Light. Now, this LED light would provide a nice bright blue light on your boat, so this light's great for upgrading or replacing any courtesy or accent lighting on your boat. This does use a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, has an IP68 rating. The housing unit is a durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens. Now, this is a clear lens over four blue LEDs.

Now, at the end of this video, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power, just to show you how bright the light is, but I first wanna go over some of the features of the light. Uses premium LEDs, which are energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant, it is rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. Now, they do use military grade construction of the circuit board, which means they use urethane potting for better protection than the common epoxy potting. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. Now, this is a surface mount installation, basically, it'll mount using a protective horizontal or vertical mount and cover that we do sell separately on our website, they are listed on this product page as a related product.

Basically, if you mount this light in a vertical cover, meaning this way, it's gonna emit a 40 degree beam. If you mounted in a horizontal cover, meaning this way, it's gonna be a 60 degree beam. This does hardwire to your application, you can see the two wires here, one goes to power, one goes to ground. The wire length gives you a total of 36 inches. A few specs on this, we're gonna measure the length of it.

Length of it is right 1 1/8 inches long, height of it is only 3/8 of an inch tall, total depth on it is right at a half an inch deep. Light output is 32 lumens, input voltage, 9 volts to 14 volts. So again, what I'm gonna do is we're gonna go ahead and hook this up to some 12 volt power. Once we have it hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn the power on, and there you can see the nice blue LEDs. Go ahead and turn off the overhead light, and you can see the nice shade blue they give.

And as we mentioned, it gives off a nice beam pattern, and I'm even going to zoom out, so I can sort of show you from a distance how much light it gives off. Zoom back in just like that, and then we'll zoom back in this way. But again, you can see the four LEDs, nice, bright blue color. We'll go ahead turn back on our overhead light, turn off our power.
