Hello everybody. This is Jeff for the etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at the Surface Mount Waterproof Dragon LED Boat Accent Light with the orange LEDs. Now this is a nice led light that'll provide a bright orange light for your boat. This light is great for upgrading or replacing any courtesy or accent lighting on your boat. Have any light out, put on this as light is about 32 lumens.

Now I am going to, at the end of this video, hook this up to some 12 volt power to show you how bright the light is and the color of the light. I first want to go through certain features of it, width has the sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which makes it submersible. Does meet an IP 68 rating, which means it's resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of five feet underwater for up to 30 minutes, Does use a military grade construction of a circuit board. The back of the light here, they use a urethane potting, which offers better protection in the common poxy, potting. And the LEDs they use on the slider premium LEDs that are energy efficient, long lasting and vibration resistant.

These are rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. If you notice it's a clear lens and that's over four orange LEDs. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. Now to mount this light, there's a surface mount design, and it does require the vertical or horizontal mounting covers that we do sell separately on our website. Those covers will allow you to mount the light and they are listed and on this product page as a related product.

Now I did mention they come in two different versions. They come a vertical or horizontal. So if this light is mounted in a vertical cover, which means it's light is going to be like that position. This is going to admit a 40 degree beam pattern. If it's mounted in the horizontal cover, it'll be that way.

And it admits a 60 degree beam pattern. Now the mounting hardware is not included. This light will wire to your application. It's a two wire design. Has a power and a ground wire and the wire length on this when you pull it all the way out, it's about 36 inches. Input voltage is nine volts to 14 volts, power draw 0.03 to 0.05 amps. Last thing we're gonna do is measure it and then we'll hook it up to some power. So for your width wise, one in one eighth inches, I'm sorry, lengthwise, width-wise is about three eights of an inch. And the depth or thickness of the light is right there, half an inch. So again, what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and hook the power or the wires up. See if we got the. .correct connection here. and you can see with our wires hooked up. It gives you the nice bright orange light. And again, I'm going to go ahead and turn off the overhead lights so you can see how bright it is and the color it gives off. Very nice accent, orange color. Actually, I'm even going to zoom out just so you can see from a distance how much light this does give off for just four small LEDs in this light. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights and we'll go ahead and turn off our power.
