HotSpot Mirror Placement
HotSpot mirrors are designed to be placed anywhere on your factory side-view mirror, but they are typically installed on the bottom outside corner of the mirror.
To determine the best placement of the HotSpot mirror, start by using a piece of folded tape to stick the spotter mirror to your factory mirror in the location that you think you would like the HotSpot to be. Once you tape the HotSpot in place, sit in your car to look through the blind spot mirror. If the HotSpot is not in the best place for you, keep adjusting the location of the mirror until it suits your needs. Once the mirror is in the best location, remove the folded tape, peel off the cover of the adhesive backing on the HotSpot, and apply it permanently.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the CIPA wedge-shaped Hot Spot mirror. This is going to be a convex mirror that you can mount onto your factory side view mirror to give you a better view of the vehicles or conditions behind you. It's going to reduce those blind spots. It's going to make it much easier and safer to change lanes, pass other vehicles, all that. This is a convex lens, so it's going to provide a nice wide angle, and it's also got a manual mirror face adjustment so that you can get that set up to just where you need it to be.
On the back we're going to have an adhesive backing so that you can get this mounted onto your factory side view mirror. Overall, I think this is going to do a great job. It's going to help reduce those blind spots. Our dimensions are right about 2 inches wide by 2 inches tall. See there, maybe closer to 2-1/4 of an inch tall.It does come with a one year warranty from CIPA, and it is going to do a good job of making sure that you can see what's behind you. It's never a comforting feeling having a blind spot, having vehicles sneak up on you when you're driving along, so it's a very inexpensive, quick, easy way to get those blind spots brought down to a minimum so you can feel safer and enjoy your trip more. That's going complete our look at the CIPA wedged-shaped Hot Spot mirror.
