Hi everyone. It's Evangeline in here at trailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our replacement Yakima, quick release levers. So these are the levers that go onto your Yakima accessories. Check out our product pages, see the compatible accessories that this helps with replacing. So if you broke, damaged or lost the quick release lever on your Yakima accessory, this is a replacement part.

So here on our Yakima showboat 66, this red lever is very crucial for a tightening or loosening as well as lacking our accessory. Without this, we would have loose bars on our accessory and that's not good. So that's why it is crucial to have the right replacement part. If this is lost, broken, or damaged. If you still have the old hardware in and you just need to replace it, simply rotate the red lever until it disengages from the nut on top.

So what you get is your placement lever, the threaded nut, as well as the bolt. So you get two of these. So one for each side, since you usually need a pair. So if he needs to replace them, you get two of them. If you only need to replace one, at least it's nice to have one extra just in case.

There's also a roll pin. And that is what is connecting that like gold colored cylinder to our quick release lever. So you're going to have to put those together because that roll pin is important for keeping this nice and tight, but you meaning to use a mallet to get it together. But once those pieces are in place, you then re-install them into your clamp. So just drop that bolt into your clamp from the top, and then hold it from the top as you get your cylinder.

And then you bring that in from the low, and rotate it clockwise until it's tightened. And once that is in place, just rotate till it like clamps down and that's it for your replacement install. So the replacement process is very simple. That's pretty much what you get if you get an exact replacement. So this is nice to know that if anything does happen to the parts on your Yakima accessories, it's very easy to get the replacement part right here at trailer, and to do it yourself. So my personal thoughts about this is I do like having that option. I don't have to replace my entire system. I can just get the part. The only thing that I might have to worry about is that I get the right part and make sure that's the only thing broken.
