Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the cover for Vision X Optimus Round Prime Pod Lights. This is going to be a yellow light or amber light that's going to maintain the spot beam for your Vision X Light. Just changes that color to work better for off road applications. If you're going through anywhere that's pretty foggy, as you can know, the white light can actually just cause more of a blind spot. It just refracts off of all that moisture and doesn't really help you to see.
But by having a yellow light it's going to help to cut through that fog and remove some of the blue light waves and reduce glare so that makes it easier to see anytime. If you're going skiing or snowboarding, a lot of times those goggles will have a yellow or amber lens and that's the same idea there. It helps to remove that blue light and just reduce that glare so you can see better and see all those dips in the road. Same thing with fog or snow. It would help you to be able to see where you're going. This is just going to snap right over the front of your Vision X light.
It Has all gasket on the inside there to keep out any dust or debris so you don't have to worry about any moisture getting built up inside or seeping in there, any dust. Of course, you can't really do much about condensation. That's probably going to happen, but they're not too hard to remove and wipe off. But I like that gasket because it lets me know that there's not going to be any kind of dirt that can just get kicked up in there and then stay and then start scratching the lens of the Vision X light. There's a little indicator up at the top to let you know how to orient that. And that is handy because once you have this in place, you can't really turn it at all.
So it just really lets you have that logo nice and leveled out. So if you're a little particular like myself, you want to have everything nice and lined up and then pop it all the way into place. The two tabs lock around that outer housing to keep it really nice and snug and it's really hard to move that guy around. So it's really tight on there. Fits very nicely.
It's made of a durable shatterproof polycarbonate, so it's going to protect that light from any scratches or rocks or any kind of debris, tree branches, anything that might get kicked up in there. So to keep that out and keeping your lights safe. Also, a cool thing, this logo actually glows in the dark. I don't know about you, but I'm kind of a geek for anything that glows in the dark, so that just makes me happy. Doesn't really provide you any light, but it just looks cool.So it fits very easily. I'm a plug in my light just so you can see what that's gonna look like whenever it's turned on. Of course, a super bright light. Vision X, they make a very nice bright light. I'm going to turn out my studio lights so you can get a better idea of what that really looks like. So a nice yellowy light there. It does have that little Vision X logo. If we get a little closer you can actually see that. Once you're actually out on the road and this light is further away, that logo really doesn't show up anymore. Even just having this pointing across the wall of my studio, I can't see the logo anymore just in case that's a concern. But easy way to get the most out of your light and have it be versatile for different situations. You can also get these lenses in just clear blue, red, depending on our application. Different colors work for different things. You can also get them so that they actually spread out that spot beam to more of a flood. So it just gives you some options to make the most out of your Vision X light. To remove it, you can grab one of the tabs and pull out and then that'll release it to remove. As far as the diameter, it's three and three quarters of an inch. It might help if I have that turn the right way. Here we go, three and three quarters of an inch in diameter. So it will work with three and three quarter inch Vision X lights. Those tabs go down about an inch. Maybe a little bit more, an inch and an eighth. The overall lip is about three quarters of an inch wide. That's going to do it for our look at the cover for Vision X Optimus Round Prime Pod Lights in yellow.
