Adapting a Thule Echelon Bike Rack to Factory Crossbars on a 2012 Mini Cooper
Question:
I have a 2012 Mini Cooper hatchback with factory installed base roof rack, which is made by Thule for Mini and the bars look like Aerobars by Thule. Will this adapter allow an Echelon bike rack to work with these bars? Really want to use the Echelon, but dont know how to make it work with the bars and hope this will work.

The adapter # THXADAPT9 is the exact part you need to allow the Thule Echelon, # TH518, to fit Thule RapidAero or AeroBlade bars. Your crossbars should have channels in which the t-bolts in the adapter fit into.
