Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at Etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at Thule Xsporter ladder rack adapter hardware for your Compass water sport carrier. So that Compass carrier is a really nice accessory to put onto your ladder rack, but as you've likely found out, that ladder rack is a bit thicker than what it's intended for the carrier to work with, so you need an extension of the bolts. That's where these come in. And these are going to work with that Thule carrier to help you carry whatever kind of water sport item, whether that's a kayak, a canoe, a paddle board, anything up on top of your ladder rack, and be able to use that effectively without any worries.So we can take a closer look at these bolts, pretty simple, pretty straightforward. They're going to be carriage bolts, so they have that little square fitting up at the head to fit down into the carrier and keep them from twisting.

The length for each of these, including that square head or that little square notch, is about three and a half inches long, so it should be a good amount of length to get around your ladder rack crossbars or the load bars. It also helps you just to get a better grip on those bars to have those longer bolts.
