Michael: Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Thule replacement M6 35 millimeters square head bolt. This is going to replace the square head bolt for your Thule roof mounted bike rack, including your outride ProRide, ProRide XT, and upright roof bike racks. This is going to attach to your bike rack and then slide into the T-slot on your roof rack system so that you can hold your bike rack in place. As far as our measurements go, this is right about three quarters of an inch square for the head and right about, I'm going to call it one and three quarters.
I'm sorry, one and three eighths of an inch long from the base of our head there down to the end.This is made here in the USA, so you can trust it's made to the same high quality standards that we've come to know and trust from products that are made here in the US. But even more importantly, this is a Thule product, so you can trust that it is going to work with your bike racks. You're not going to have to worry about compatibility issues or making modifications or anything like that. This is the exact replacement from Thule. So if you're needing a new bolt to slide your bike rack into your T- slot, this is going to be the piece that you need.

still can't believe they stocked this part. saved my roof rack
After several calls with Etrailer prior to buying to see if this part would work for an older Thule rack, I bought the bolts because was told returns were not a problem. These bolts did not fit my bolt washers that came with the rack and when i tried to return it to ETrailer the return shipping and restocking fees were almost as much as all the parts i ordered, so was not worth it. Now I am stuck with a spare T-bolts that I can't really use. Hoping i will have a use for them some day. I'm sure that the hardware for newer Thule racks work fine - just be 100% sure you have the right size hardware when you order, as returns are not as easy as the website makes it appear.

It is a decent bolt. I needed a bit longer bolt to attach my awning bracket to my cross rails because I used a spacer. It seems a bit light duty but should get the job done. This is not a common bolt you can find anywhere.
Perfect replacement for missing Thule bolts needed to repurpose Thule bike racks on my Yakima Rack snd Roll.
One thing that is important to note.
They are either the real part or made to Thule OEM standards.
Why is this important?
I’ve never received cheap imitations or counterfeit parts from etrailer. But with the giant internet only retailer that also has a steaming service snd rents out its cloud, I’ve been ripped off by organizations in that supply chain that use manufacturer’s pictures and write ups to move shoddy substandard goods.
Given the safety risks of hauling any roof rack or trailer down the highway, etrailer and their supply chain ethics and authenticity gives me piece of mind.

This bolt worked as expected and hoped as it wasn't spec'ed for this Thule rack.
It took awhile to get to VA because it was on back order but when I got it was as advertise great customer service too.
