Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the ProGrip XRT line of rope lock tie downs. These are available in multiple lengths and capacities.Now the rope lock tie downs from ProGrip are gonna be a really good solution for securing many different items in many different ways. I think you'll lean towards these over standard ratchet straps or cam buckle straps just because they do offer a lot of ease of use. You get a quick release button here so when you get to your destination it's gonna be easy to get the slack back in and then just one-hand operation on the tightening side.What's gonna set this system apart from other systems like it will be the XRT technology that's built into our pulley, or our cam inside. It's gonna have grooves inside that are gonna securely grab and lock the rope in place so we don't have to worry about tension loss.Now on the back side, you'll also notice there's been a provision built right in to accept a 3/8" ratchet, so if you need a little bit of extra tension, you can use that lever advantage to get it.We also have rubber coated hooks on each end. That way, in our kayak, we're not too concerned with its handle getting scratched, but on other items you may be and that's gonna help protect them from any kind of damage.Now the outside edge to the outside edge of the hook's gonna be about 2", while the inside here will be about 1-1/8".
The overall hook length is 3-1/2", so just be sure that your item's smaller than that to accommodate it going in place.Now the rope itself is gonna be a solid core design with the webbing around the outside, so we've got all this strength and durability we need on the inside and then some protection here on the outside, so even if it does come in contact with painted surfaces or something like that, shouldn't have a real big issue there.Now there are different sizes available. This one happens to be the 8-foot long version with the 3/8" diameter rope that offers a 500-pound break strength. We also have an 8-foot version with a 1/4" diameter rope. That offers 150-pound break strength. And then there's a two-pack available width 1/8" rope, 5-1/2' long.
That break strength is 75 pounds.That's gonna complete our look at the ProGrip XRT line of rope lock tie downs.

Nice Straps, simple
Units are Sturdy. Have not used yet, but compared with units using now. Did have some issues with present units! These units are better quality and don't expect any problem with units locking or slipping.
Would recommend!
I really like these tiedowns they’re easy to use an hold things tight And they’re great for securing loads on my four wheeler I plan on buying some more soon.

Used this in a boat building challenge. When you bring together the top sides and attach the transom. The rope was too short for my special needs so I hooked a strap to it to extend it. It held a lot of tension and performed well.
Looking forward to using it again as a tie down on the car too.

Used on kayak works great
I used today to Hold down a kayak on my roof rack They are Very strong and much Easier than tying knots Great product and if you need to make them longer I put two together, I will be buying more in the future.
Intended for securing my canoe. However, it has been used to secure gun safe, furniture, lumber, sit down lawn mower and more. Easy to set up; secures items solidly and easy to release.
Quick and easy tie downs. Can be a little tough to release sometimes when they are cinched down tight though.
