I ordered this to replace the gearbox, motor, and control module on a 2000 country coach. The step unit in it was probably 1997-1999 vintage. I have it working perfectly now, but this is NOT a conversion for an amateur! Although it looks like a bolt-on replacement, the mounting holes are off a little from the studs that they should mount to. The bearing in the permanent plate that everything mounts on is smaller and located about 1/2" off from the new kit. When all installed, everything worked backwards....door opened, steps closed...door closed, steps opened. Turns out an adapter to reverse the motor wiring was included in the kit (no mention as to what is was for), that solved that problem. No actual installation instructions are included, just the regular user manual. Given all that, I am still happy with the result and saved about $1,000 over a new step. The folks at etrailer were very efficient in helping me find the kit and getting it to me quickly...prices were great also.

The motor, gearbox and control module are installed and are working well. However, the table the motor and gearbox were mounted to, as well as the cover, were of very poor manufacturing quality compared to the original pieces. I installed the motor and gearbox on the original table and threw the new pieces away.

After a year of use, I still find this an excellent investment. It hss worked perfectly from the day I completed the indstallation. We use the coach often, so I think it has been thoroughly tested.
