Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Dexter 12" E-coat Right Hand Side Hub and Rotor Assembly with the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern for 6,000 pound axles. Now, this trailer brake assembly will make it very easy to upgrade from drum brakes to disc brakes for better performance. Disc brakes gives you more consistent stopping, even at highway speeds and gives you dramatically shorter stopping distances. It is easier and less expensive to maintain. The parts in this kit have and E-coat finish, which helps provide corrosion resistance for fresh water and limited salt water use.The kit will include everything laid out here on the table. It's one full right hand passenger side brake assembly.
It comes with the one E-coated rotor, the E-coated hub with the bolts all pressed in, the E-coated ductile iron caliper with the brake lines included, the E-coated caliper mounting bracket with the installation hardware and the two semi-metallic brake pads. Now, the bearings, the bearing races, which are pre-installed in the hub, the grease seal and the easy lube grease cap is all included. And there's even a tube of thread sealant in the hardware here, so when you do put your bolts on, you can put the thread sealant on the threads before you install them. The rotor's a vented rotor. This'll help regulate temperature, prevent overheating, dissipated the heat better. The hub itself that's included, this'll replace your existing hub.
And then the caliper is a self-adjusting caliper, which will ensure maximum surface contact for smooth, equal braking. The pads, the brake pads are a semi-metallic brake pad, which will resist heat, provide excellent grip. Then the mounting bracket right here is a ductile iron mounting bracket, provides strength and durability. We did mention the grease cap, has the nice removable rubber plug in the middle that makes it .. gives you easy access to the grease zerk fitting on an EZ-Lube axle. Now, this does require hydraulic brake actuator and brake lines.
We do sell those separately on our website. They are required for the brakes to be activated. Now, when you do get the actuator and the brake lines, it will require a psi rating of at least 1,600 psi. These parts are made in the USA. Again, it's fits the axle, 6,000 pound axle capacity.
The wheel size that'll fit on this hub is 15", 16" and 16-1/2". The bolt pattern is a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. The wheel lug size on this a 1/2"x20". On the rotor, the diameter overall is 12". Now, on the mounting bracket here, you can see it's bolts to a great flange configuration of five bolts, five bolt holes actually. And the bearings, the races and the seal, they are all included. The inner bearing, which is part number 25580, has a 1.75" inner diameter. The outer bearing, part number 15123 has a 1.25" inner diameter. The bearing races we mentioned, they are all pre-installed in the hub. The grease seal is a double lip grease seal, part number GS-2250DL. The inner diameter on this seal is 2.25". Outer diameter is 3.376" and the EZ-Lube grease cap is included also. And a nice set of detailed installation instructions. But that should do it for the review on the Dexter 12" E-coat Right Hand Side hub and Rotor Assembly with the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern for 6,000 pound axles.
