Today we're going to take a look at the Deka Heavy Duty Battery Carrier for the Top and Side Post Batteries.Now, this is a nice heavy duty battery carrier. It'll allow you to quickly and easily remove your battery from the engine compartment. It is designed to work with 6-volt or 12-volt batteries with terminals on either the top or the side of the battery. And if you notice the grip on this, it's a riveted rubber grip pad which will provide a nice secure hold on the battery. The handle on this is a nice ribbed vinyl handle. Makes it very easy to grip, and this is steel construction, and it is zinc-plated for corrosion resistance.This is designed to fit battery sizes up to a Group 65 battery.
And as you can see, this handle here gives you, when you pick up the battery, it gives you a nice one hand carrying control of the battery. And it is stamped on here, "Do not exceed 65 pounds carrying weight."I am going to demonstrate. I happen to have a Group 24 battery here just to show you how this carrier will work. Going to zoom out just a little bit, and what you'll notice on the handle, has notches there. And what you want to do is slide it to the size of battery you're going to pick up.
So just put it on there, and then just slide it as close as you can get it to where it goes up into a notch. And once you get it up into the notch, then you can see, you can pick your battery right up, carry it around wherever you need be, and then just set it down and then release it, comes right off. Simple as that.
