Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this RV solar panel installation kit. Now this installation kit is going to have enough supplies for you to install one rigid solar panel, and included in this kit is one tube of self-leveling sealant, one roll of butyl tape, and a 10 foot long supply of wire loom. We do also have a kit that will help you install two to three solar panels, and the only difference between the kit for one solar panel and the kit for two to three solar panels is that the kit for two to three solar panels includes a second tube of self-leveling sealant. So if you are going to be installing more than one solar panel, the kit that you see there on your screen is what you are going to want.
You can just take that item number and put it in the search field of our website and that will take you to this kit for installing two to three solar panels. Now, included with this kit is this 10.3 ounce tube of white self-leveling sealant. And as you no doubt know, this is going to create a waterproof layer of protection, keeping water out of screw holes and around mounting brackets. This has a coverage of about 30 feet at a quarter of an inch bead, and one panel typically requires a little more than half a tube of sealant. The raw material base is butyl rubber, and this has an application temperature from five degrees Fahrenheit all the way up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next, you're going to receive this 20 foot long roll of one inch wide butyl tape. This is going to create a seal when putting screws in your roof. You're just gonna place the tape between the roof and the solar panel mounting bracket and just screw through it. This three sixteenths of an inch thick tape has an application temperature from negative five degrees Fahrenheit all the way up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Finally, you're going to get this 10 foot long roll wire loom that's going to keep your cables neat and tidy on your roof or in your RV.
