Hey everyone, it's Evangeline, and today we have the ARB Spring Loaded Eye Bolt Tie Down Anchors. These are gonna be super fast and super easy anchors that you can use with your ARB BASE Racks. And that way, no matter what you're carrying around, you can strap it down. The way this works is that we have our pivoting clamp, and this is specifically designed for the dovetail of your base rack from ARB. So this fits perfectly into that track and you just turn your anchor points and it's secured to the rail. Now, this does slide along the rail, which is a good thing because then you can adjust it to wherever you need it to be.

The diameter of the eye is going to be one inch on the inside. This is on the smaller side, but it will work with most ratchet strap hooks or the straps themselves. Now, I'm currently using an etrailer hook, but you can also use ARB ratchet straps available here at etrailer. The reason this is spring loaded is because that's how it holds to the base rack, so you can see that without our strap I'm able to easily slide our anchor back and forth. But with this ratcheted down, it's pulling on our anchor, and now it's super secure and doesn't wanna slide back and forth, which is awesome.

But then on the other side, if you're not going to use the strap, please take off the anchor point. Fortunately, it's very easy to do so, so that way you can just store this inside of your vehicle when not in use. But if you prefer to keep your eyeball anchors on your rack, even without using them, that's totally fine, too. There is an option for that. ARB does have eye bolts that stay on the rack and take slightly more time to install, but still very quick.

So depending on your adventure and your needs, you have options for both. With how easy they are to put on the rack, pretty much anywhere there is that dovetail side, I do like the design. Now, I also just have to remember to take off the anchor points whenever they're not in use. Another thing to remember is these do arrive as a pack of two, so pick up as many as you need for all the cargo that you're carrying. And don't forget to pick up some ratchet straps as well.
