Hi everyone, Aiden here at Etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at these Eye Nut Tie-Down Points from Front Runner. These are gonna slide into the top channels or the side channels on your Front Runner platform racks and give you a tie-down point. Let's check them out. These are gonna be very easy to use. If you're using Front Runner Stratchit Straps, they work really well because they just fit perfectly around there.
But this will work totally fine for any other straps that you might already have. The opening is wide enough that you could probably fit the strap end of a cam buckle through there, or any typical S-hooks. Now, if you just loosen it up, you can move it around or take it out of that channel at the top, and see that it's really just an M8 bolt, a plastic washer to protect the metal on your platform and the tie-down loop itself. So using this is really easy. Just drop it in, slide it to where you want it, twist it to tighten, and then hook up your straps.
Now, these come in a pack of two, and for most situations, you're probably gonna want four, if you're tying down just one thing like we are today. Personally though, I'd get a ton of them, especially on a large platform like this, where they can go in those top channels and on the side channels here, if you've got the Slimline platform. Just because it's handy to have and any shortage of tie-down points can be a real pain. So as long as you've got enough, then you can find some way to secure your cargo, especially if you've got a lot of it. So for me, I just like having the options of it.
But if you only need four because you're only tying down one thing, and the rest of your stuff is directly mounted to the channels, then no problem. Just make sure you pick up enough. And that'll do it for our look at these Eye Nut Tie-Downs from Front Runner. Thanks for watching. (no audio).
