Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 5/16 of an inch diameter zinc plated nylon lock nut for spring-keeper bolt. Now, this 5/16 diameter lock nut is designed for use with a spring-retainer bolt on your slipper springs. Now, that's the spring-retainer bolt we do sell separately on our website, and it's listed on this product page as a related product. It's part number 7-7.
Now, when used with that bolt, this nut'll help suspend the slipper spring inside your trailer's rear hanger. This is a nylon lock nut, which will secure this suspension bolt on the trailer. The nylon insert will reduce vibrations between the nut and the bolt. This does have a nice zinc plating on it for corrosion resistance. Again, the diameter of this is 5/16 of an inch.
Threads per inch is 18 threads per inch. The head size is a 1/2 an inch. You can see I pulled a 1/2 an inch socket here, and you can see that the nut will fit perfectly in the 1/2 size. Everything is excellent, the package arrived way faster than I thought. The only problem is I forgot to add 2 bolts to my list. I will definitely be ordering from etrailer from now on.
