Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for Towing With 2022 Subaru Outback Touring

I need a hitch so I can tow with my 2022 Outback Touring. I have heard you guys will give recommendations so I thought I would see what you have to say about it. What would be a good choice?

I would be happy to recommend a hitch for your 2022 Outback Touring. If I was installing a hitch on my Outback I would choose the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e25TR. This is a Class III hitch and which comes with a 2" receiver. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs and tongue weight of 350 lbs. What sets this hitch apart from others is the matte black powder coat finish. This provides a rugged look while also hiding dirt and scratches better than a glossy finish.
Since you plan on towing, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 for your wiring needs. This is the most reliable option when compared to others. The # 118467 plugs into existing wiring, providing you with a 4-way connection to power your trailer's signal lights.
In order to complete your setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
