Mobile Home Axle Conversion to Electric Trailer Brakes
Question:
I have an old trailer that has axles from a mobile home. I would like to convert these axles to use standard truck rims, and install an electric brake. are those components something that you sell?

We do carry electric brake assemblies as well as hub/drum assemblies. To determine the correct fit, you will need to measure the spindles of your axles. I've attached a photo to assist with the measurement locations, and recommend using a digital caliper like # PTW80157 because precise measurements are important.
If you let me know your measurements I can help find a correct fit as long as there is one for your specific conversion. I believe the standard truck rims are 6 on 5-1/2 inches but I've attached an article to help you confirm the pattern needed. Vehicle rims normally have an offset, and trailer wheels do not, so often more clearance between the trailer frame is needed for vehicle wheels. You may want to consider using trailer wheels for a better ride and function that look similar to your vehicle wheels.
