Parts Needed to Convert Roadmaster Blackhawk From Blue Ox to Roadmaster Base Plate

Question:

Hello, I have a Blackhawk 2 10K tow bar. It is outfitted with blue ox base plate adapters. I would like to replace the adapters back to a roadmaster base plate compatible type. What is the part number for my needs? I am own a 2014 Chevy Traverse and would like to put a Roadmaster base plate with removable arms for as discreet a look as possible. Any other recommendations for finishing up my install would be welcome. I would like a portable brake unit and am leaning towards the brake buddy with wireless dash remote. What else would I need?

To go back to a Roadmaster base plate attachment for your Roadmaster Blackhawk part # RM-422 you'd need the Replacement Collars part # RM-9200-8. If the base plate kit you go with is one that uses a crossbar you'll also need a replacement crossbar part # RM-067.

I'd go with the Direct Connect base plate kit part # RM-523175-5 though so you wouldn't need the crossbar.

For lighting the part # RM-152-98146-7 would work great as it gives you a way to control the taillights of the vehicle from the tow vehicle via diodes that install on the vehicle wiring.

The Brake Buddy Select 3 part # HM39524 you mentioned as well would be a great choice too.
