Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for 2014 Subaru Forester
Question:
Hello. I have a 2014 Subaru Forester and am in need of a 4-pole flat trailer wiring harness. I see you offer at least 2 different models that should fit this vehicle. Question: Which would better, what are the essential differences between them? What would you recommend? I have reviewed the videos and the one issue I believe has been overlooked is where the fuse socket can/should be located such that the fuse can be inspected/replaced without going through the entire disassembly process again. If the fuse socket is made on a sufficiently long pig tail, it could be located in an area that is readily accessible for inspection without removal of body panels. If one of these kits lends itself to this type of install and the other does not, please let me which one. Thanks,

For trailer wiring for your 2014 Subaru Forester I recommend the Tekonsha kit part # 118467 because this brand of harness tends to be the most reliable over time when compared to other brands.
Realistically you won't be blowing the fuse of this kit on a regular basis so needing easy access to it would not be as big of a deal as you would think. I would be surprised if you were to ever blow this fuse. Most likely you will install the harness and never have to worry about the fuse as that is the case for nearly all of our customers.
