Carrying 3 Kayaks on a 2013 Ford Edge
Question:
I would like to find a roof rack for my 2013 ford edge for 3 kayaks. I think the rails that are factory installed will not hold the weight. Im wondering if there is a rack that would attach to the windows or somewhere else that would hold it? I have the actual rack for the kayaks, i just need the crossbars to go from side to side that can hold more than 120 lbs.

In my research I found that the load-carrying capacity of the roof on your 2013 Edge is 100 lbs. A roof rack that clips to the door frame would have a limited weight capacity and would not clear the side rails on your Edge. I am afraid 3 kayaks would weigh much more than the roof weight capacity of your roof but I do have a recommendation.
I recommend installing a hitch and using a small trailer like the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer, part # Y08106. This trailer has two 66 inch round crossbars and has a 250 lb weight capacity.
If you do not have a trailer hitch on your Edge I recommend part # C13067. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening. For a ball mount I recommend part # C45030, and the trailer requires a 2 inch hitch ball. For the hitch ball I recommend part # 63845.
If you do not have a trailer connector at the rear of your Edge I recommend part # 118515. You just plug in the T-One harness to the connection points located in the rear cargo area of your Edge, behind the tail lights, then run a hot lead to the car battery and you are good to go.
On the Rack and Roll you can use three sets of the etrailer.com carrier, part # E98878. It's an inexpensive kayak carrier that folds down and has a higher weight capacity than most.
