Installing the TorkLift GlowStep Scissor Steps # TLA7802-8000 on your truck bed camper will be similar to installing them on a trailer. The mounting bracket connects to the camper just under the doorway and the steps connect to the bracket.
I've linked the install instructions for you. view full answer...
On trucks with plastic drop-in bed liners, the bed liner will need to be trimmed so that the mounting plates of the Step Gate are in direct metal-to-metal contact with the tailgate. Sandwiching the bed liner in between the plate and the tailgate will result in the step being unstable and becoming wobbly over time. Basically you would just need to remove the section of the bed liner where the mounting bracket of the # CAB-SG-2R would contact.
For trucks with spray-on bed liners, the Step... view full answer...
I spoke with my Convert-A-Ball representative, who tells me that installing the Step Gate # CAB-SG over a plastic bed liner will prevent it from working properly, but installing it over a spray-in liner would be perfectly acceptable, and would not affect the function or performance of the step. If you click the provided link, you can see a video of a typical installation. view full answer...
The Curt Gooseneck Hitch, part # C607-661, you referenced is designed to fit your 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 6 foot bed.
The included installation instructions have detailed steps to ensure the hitch is located in the correct location. Here is the first step in the installations instructions for the subkit included with the hitch:
Mark the location for the hole in the truck bed. Measure from the tailgate end of the truck bed, by hooking a tape measure over the rear of the truck box... view full answer...
The Brophy Camper Scissor Steps part # AS24 will require 1-1/4" of clearance between the bottom of the door and bottom of the cab on your Palomino Truck Bed Camper in order for the mounting bracket to attach. If you removed a portion of the trim piece where the bracket would mount to allow it to sit flush and this provides the minimum of 1-1/4" then you could do this. However, if not you would need to attach some heavy duty l-brackets to the underside of the body and mount the steps to... view full answer...
On short bed trucks you would need to use a slider 5th wheel hitch. The square tube slider you have referenced, # RP30048, is designed to 16K or 20K Reese 5th wheel hitches and the head and crossmember will bolt to it. The bottom of the slider does fit into the above bed rails just like the legs of a fixed hitch. The slider will provide 10 inches of travel which will lessen the chance of hitting the cab of the truck with the trailer when taking tight turns.
You will have to get out of... view full answer...
If you check out the install picture I attached for the # AS23 you can see where it normally installs at the rear of a camper that is installed on a truck. Without seeing your setup it's hard to be more specific but there should be a spot on the camper below the door that allows the mounting bracket to install. view full answer...
The proper location to install the front rail on the Curt 5th Wheel Installation Kit # C16424-204, for your 2016 Ford F-250 is 54-3/16 inches from the rear edge of truck box (to the rear edge of the front rail). This applies to both short and long bed trucks.
On the other hand, the front rail on the Curt 5th Wheel Installation Kit # C16448-104, for the 2013 Ford F-150 installs 50.938 inches, again measured from the rear edge of the truck box to the rear edge of the front rail, regardless... view full answer...
I went out to our warehouse and took a look at the instructions for the Bully Truck Bed Swing Out Step, item # AS-550. For your 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 you will need to drill a 1/2 inch hole in the cross member on each side of the truck frame to install each step. view full answer...
The reason why the manufacturer requires removal or trimming of a drop-in bed liner or mat is because the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3500 needs to make full metal contact with the truck bed. This will create the most resistance. Leaving the bed liner in place does not allow for the base of the B&W Companion to install tightly enough against your bed, creating unnecessary slack.
If your truck bed has a spray-in bed liner however, you can simply follow... view full answer...

No, you don't have to remove the hitch extender and step # RP11006 when not towing it you don't want to. The only exception is if your state or local laws prohibit leaving accessories in the hitch when not in use. New York comes to mind. view full answer...

We do offer bed mats for the 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty with 6-3/4-foot bed. All are shown on the linked page. These are intended for trucks without the factory step gate. We have both bed and tailgate mats.
If you have any type of 5th wheel hitch in the bed you will need to trim out the mat to fit around that installation since hitches cannot rest on top of the mat. They require direct metal-on-metal contact for safe operation. view full answer...

It looks like you are referring to step 7-d of the installation instructions for the 5th wheel trailer hitch installation kit # RP50140-58, linked for reference. Step 7 refers to installing the rear frame brackets under the truck. The holes drilled through the bed are there so you can attach the above bed rails to the under bed brackets.
The holes need to be enlarged because you will be inserting tube spacers with the bolts (step 10). The bolts for the center of the rails do not require... view full answer...
I assume you are referring to the installation videos of the Pace Edwards Switchblade like # 311-SMFA30A61. The installation of the cover is slightly different for each truck so we don't do all of the installation steps in the videos.
Installing the cover canister is the first step after confirming the parts are all included in the box (which already has the cover in it). Then you install the rails and then fine tune for the cover to fit perfectly in your truck bed. I have linked... view full answer...

Yes, you can mount the Brophy Steel Scissor Steps, # SS04, to a truck tailgate. I recommend installing the mounting bracket on the top of the tailgate (see photo). To install the mounting bracket, you will want to use four 1/4 inch x 1-1/2 inch long lag screws. Brophy recommends pre-drilling the holes with a 5/32 inch drill bit.
