  • How To Switch A MaxxAir MaxxFan Out Of Auto Mode
  • To exit the Auto Mode on your MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-04000K press the ON/OFF key. The green LED next to the Auto button will be lit while in Auto Mode and off when in manual mode. If you decide you want to go back in Auto Mode you'll want to press and hold the Auto button once for less than three (3) seconds, three (3) quick beeps will confirm the MAXXFAN has entered Auto Mode and the green LED will light up. I've sent in an update to get the manual...

  • How to Reset Hardwired Brake Controller With No Quick Disconnect
  • You certainly can, but you'll need to interrupt the power supply to the brake controller for a minute or two, then reconnect it. The easiest and safest way would be to pull the fuse on that circuit or remove the positive battery cable for a minute or two.

  • Correct Placement of Support Brackets for Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System
  • For your Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control, like part # C17500, the support brackets need to be installed 4" in from the end of the spring bars. I'm not quite sure where you're seeing more or less than 4" as the instructions are specific to this measurement as you can see in the attached clip. If you were to install the brackets in a different spot then the weight distribution system wouldn't perform as well plus it could be bad for both the system and your trailer...

  • Installing An Advent Air RV Air Conditioner On A 2019 Coachmen Clipper Express Camper
  • Installing your Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu - White # ACM135 backwards could result in damage to the unit. Air going the reverse way would blow through the condenser vents backwards trapping dirt and debris in them instead of pushing it out and would cause the fan to rotate backwards. AC units are meant to only go one way so I do not recommend placing it backwards on your 2019 Coachmen Clipper Express Camper

  • How Tight Should the Bolts in the MORryde Upgrade Kits be Tightened Too?
  • Though it will depend on which specific kit you decide to go with, I can definitely give you an example. The MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 3-1/8" Long Shackle Straps # MR76ZR will come with all wet bolts. All of the bolts/nuts will need to be torqued to 50 ft.-lbs, as per the instructions. Again, the correct torque may depend on the specific kit you go with, but typically the rating should be listed in the instructions. If they are not, however, let me know...

  • How To Change the Oil in the 3,200-Watt Portable RV Inverter Generator
  • I have attached for you below the oil change procedure for the 3,200-Watt Portable RV Inverter Generator part # 333-0003 which was pulled direclty from the owner's manual. The owner's manual is attached below for you as well. In order to get all of the old oil out, you do indeed need to tilt the generator on it's side. While you are at it, I'd also check the air filter as well and replace if needed using part # 333-330723578 and the spark plug part # 333-330723557.

  • How to Find Studs in an RV for Installing an Exterior Ladder
  • Yes, you will need to know where the studs/blocking are within the walls of your RV prior to installing the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder part # LA-401. The studs could either be metal or wood, it just depends on what the manufacturer used at the time. The easiest way to find them would be with an electronic stud finder rated for both metal and wood. However, if you look for the rivets that join the panels together that should give you a good idea where the studs are as well. If...

  • Is There Wheel Caster Available for etrailer Powered A-Frame Trailer Jack
  • There isn't a wheel caster available for the etrailer powered jack that you referenced. In general they aren't options for powered jacks too so we don't have any similar options that would have that feature. So if you wanted to use this jack and still have ability to roll trailer around you'd need a dolly like the Rack'em part # RA20.

  • Is There a Brake Controller Plug on a 2004 Coachmen Sport Elite Freightliner XC Chassis
  • Thank you for the photo! The plug that you found if the "Daytime Running Lights" module and is unfortunately unrelated to the brake controller wiring. Your 2004 Coachmen Sport Elite motorhome is on a Freightliner XC chassis which has no provisions for a brake controller but we do carry the parts you need to install a brake controller. If you already have a 7-Way installed on your motorhome then you need to route 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 and some Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 from the pin in...

  • Replacing 15-Tooth Gear on Lippert Slide-Out Gear Pack
  • Replacing the 15-Tooth Gear # LC101941 on your existing slide-out gear pack isn't too difficult at all. Once you access the gear pack (make sure to safely support the slide-out room) it is just a matter of knocking out one of the pins that hold the gear and rollers into place. With the pin removed the rollers and gears will slide right off and you can replace the gear with the new unit.

  • The Jensen RV Stereo - Double DIN - AUX/USB, Bluetooth - 24W - 2 Zone - 12V # JWM40 can be installed just about anywhere, as long as it is inside the camper. If you have a location on one of your walls for this to be installed, there will be no issue at all mounting this.

  • Break-away Questions for Roadmaster BrakeMaster System w BrakeAway for RVs # RM-9160
  • Here are the answers to your questions about the Roadmaster BrakeMaster System w BrakeAway for RVs w Air or Air Over Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # RM-9160: If there is a break-away, how does the air from the RV get capped so I wouldn't lose system pressure? If a breakaway were to happen, the air could blow out the back of the RV. If the air patch cord breaks away at the coupler on the RV then NO. If the patch cord were to break in the middle of the cord itself then yes the air is...

  • Back Up Camera Wiring Rear View Safety Backup Camera System
  • The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System, # RVS-770614 does not have a plug-&-play adapter for this. However, per instructions to power the system, connect the power (RED) 12V+ wire to ignition power and the ground (BLACK) wire to chassis a ground. These are the only wires needed to power the entire system so wiring into running lights on the top of your RV should be rather straight forward. The camera will then only be powered with running lights on so that will be effected if you wish...

  • Brake Controller Port Location on 2019 Coachmen Mirada with Ford F-53 Chassis
  • The factory brake controller port for your 2019 Coachmen Mirada that's built on the Ford F-53 should be located on the left hand side of the steering column support, which is near the emergency brake pedal. I have attached an image that gives a clearer view of this. The Plug-In Adapter # 3035-P that you referenced is the correct harness to allow for a plug-and-play install using this port with a Tekonsha brake controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885 (great choice) that you were looking at.

  • How to Connect Spare Battery to Trailer 7-Way
  • To connect an auxiliary battery, I recommend using 10 gauge wire, like # 10-2-1 (per foot) to connect the 12V power wire on your trailer side 7-way connector to a junction box like # 38656. From there, you can run more of the same wire from the positive side of the battery to the same post where you previously connected the 12V wire on the junction box. To connect to the posts, you can use 3/16 inch ring terminals # 44-5310A. If you don't already have a junction box, the 7-Way Molded Trailer...

  • How To Cut Power To the 12 Volt Everchill RV Refrigerator
  • The Everchill RV Refrigerator part # 324-000119 is powered by 12 VDC therefore the power would be run from the unit to the distribution panel most likely. In which case, the best way to kill power to this would be by simply pulling the fuse from the panel associated with this circuit. The panel should be labeled. If you cannot locate the panel you'll need to reach out to the RV manufacturer. If you remove the battery that should cut power to the refrigerator as well but the above method...
