How to Find Studs in an RV for Installing an Exterior Ladder

Yes, you will need to know where the studs/blocking are within the walls of your RV prior to installing the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder part # LA-401. The studs could either be metal or wood, it just depends on what the manufacturer used at the time. The easiest way to find them would be with an electronic stud finder rated for both metal and wood. However, if you look for the rivets that join the panels together that should give you a good idea where the studs are as well. If all else fails you will need to reach out to the manufacturer if applicable.
The Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder does come with installation instructions as well.
