We had the chance to install the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56026 on a Saturn Vue just like your 2008 model and we shot an install video that I have linked to this page. In it you will see exactly how we routed the power wire underneath the vehicle avoiding moving parts and exhaust components. view full answer...
Good news, I can help you figure out if this rack will work with your 2008 Saturn Vue.
This bike rack has a 10-1/2 inch clearance from center of the hitch pin hole to the first wheel loop on the rack, which accommodates many vehicles. It also comes with an adapter that will make it work with both sized hitch openings 1-1/4 and 2 inch.
The clearance for your vehicle would depend on the hitch you have on your vehicle, and the distance from its center hitch pin hole to the edge of your... view full answer...
You can use your Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar, # BX4330, with the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, # 3151-1A, on your 2008 Saturn Vue XE, but you will need the Roadmaster Base Plate to Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter, # RM-033, and the Quick Disconnects, # RM-201.
I have attached an installation video of this base plate kit for you to check out.
A few other items that you may want to look at to complete your flat towing set up are a lighting kit, safety cables, or a supplemental braking system. I have... view full answer...
If the tow bar arm or connection points were stressed enough they could bend and that can lead to it being difficult to operate. Other moving parts could become dirty and/or corroded and affect the way the tow bar operates. It sounds like the damaged part you mentioned is the Autowlok. For a repair kit use # RM-910003-80.
It probably would be a good idea to replace some of the hardware using the service kit # RM910003-65. If you notice that either arm or any of the hardware is bent you... view full answer...
What I think you are asking about is the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit, # RM-15247. This diode kit allows you to use your Saturn Vue's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. This will provide the needed wiring solution to flat tow your Saturn that the Vue's taillights work in tandem with those of the RV.
The other items needed to flat tow your 2007 Saturn Vue are, a tow bar, base plates, safety cables and a supplemental braking... view full answer...
The connection you will need to use is most likely the chassis connection in the case of the brake controller. You will want the connection that is hot at all times ran to the brake controller so that the trailer brakes can be operated at any time whether the ignition is on or not. The brake controller should be wired through at least a 20 amp circuit breaker, item # PK54520, and a 30 amp circuit breaker, item # PK54530, if the trailer has more than 4 brakes or the brake controller calls... view full answer...
You do need a lighting solution installed on your 2006 Saturn Vue to allow the taillights of it to be controlled by your motorhome when it's being flat towed. For that we have the # RM-152-98146-7 which wires into your taillight wiring and allows the motorhome to control them and comes with all of the wiring, diodes, and connectors needed. view full answer...
Hitch, ball mount, and/or accessory rattle can be annoying and it is a common ailment. Luckily, there is a cure. First, you can make sure that your trailer has the correct tongue weight. Tongue weight should be 10 to 15 percent of gross trailer weight when it is loaded and ready to tow.
If tongue weight is correct, you can use an anti-rattle device. I recommend the Anti-Rattle Wedge, # RM-061-125. It is designed to fit in 1-1/4 inch trailer hitches like # 36408 on your 2005 Saturn Vue.... view full answer...
At this time we only have the white rain gutter extensions # CAM42123 or spouts with extensions # CAM42134. But I can have the black version added, # CA42110. Or for the spouts with extensions it is # CA42323. view full answer...
The Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR would be more what you are looking for. The remote of this system that installs in the tow vehicle will show a display light when the brakes are applied and then has an additional light that illuminates when there would be a problem.
The Patriot is our most recommended system to as it installs very easily and works very well.
The SMI makes noise everytime the brakes are being applied. view full answer...
What probably happened was that the converter box has blown. This means that it has done its job. The short on the trailer blew the box instead of damaging the vehicle wiring. There is no fix for this and the wiring harness on the vehicle will have to be replaced.
You will need to make sure that the short circuit has been fixed prior to installing and using the new harness. Otherwise the same problem will keep happening until the short is fixed. I have included a couple of wiring FAQs... view full answer...
I would recommend going with a 2 inch, Class III trailer hitch for your 2005 Saturn Vue, like the Curt Class III , item # 13591. In addition, I recommend the Curt Multi-Purpose Ball mount, item # D210, that you referenced. This adapter will give you a 2-1/4 inch drop ball mount and a 2 inch receiver that you can slide your bike rack into. Keep in mind that this ball mount receiver has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity. This means that the the weight in the upper receiver cannot exceed 350... view full answer...
As long as your factory roof rack crossbars are between 20 and 37 inches apart, then yes the THule Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, item # TH859XT, will work on your vehicle.

According to Draw-Tite, trailer hitch # 36450 will fit all models of the 2009 Saturn Vue including Redline models and hybrids. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
If you plan on doing some towing the correct ball mount is # 36061 and you can use pin and clip # PC2. For a 1-7/8 inch diameter ball use # 19256, and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # C56026, installation instructions linked.

The only way I can recommend you flat tow your 2003 Saturn Vue is with a tow dolly like the part # RM-2050-1. None of the base plate kits we offer are confirmed to fit the V6 models of your vehicle so I can't recommend them for you.
Using a tow dolly will save you a lot of hassle as it won't require any installation time like a base plate kit and wiring kit, and since the tow dolly isn't vehicle specific you can flat tow other vehicles without having to buy more components. view full answer...
Replacement wing for Thule fairings # 853-5475 will fit any of the Thule roof rack fairings. So if you have a Thule fairing on your 2007 Saturn Vue then it will fit. If you have a different brand fairing then it will probably not fit and it has not been tested on any other brands.
If you have a Thule roof rack then the recommended fairing was 871XT and the wing does fit this fairing. view full answer...
No, I am sorry you will have to hardwire your 2003 Saturn Vue Redline to have trailer lighting available at the rear of the vehicle. If you need a 4-way flat connector you could use the Upgraded Circuit Protected Modulite with 4 Pole Harness and Hardwire Kit, part # 118418, which will include all wiring and connectors to complete the wiring along with instructions.
You will have to remove the vehicle taillights and splice into the vehicles wiring using a circuit tester, part # PTW2993... view full answer...
I personally recommend the Thule OutWay Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, # TH45JV. This bike rack will fit on your 2004 Saturn Vue as well as the 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe and uses sure-tight retractable cables with hooks to anchor the rack to the vehicle. The cables are much more difficult to cut though than the straps used on other racks. The rack also comes with an integrated cable lock to secure the bikes to the rack.
If you will be carrying any women's, children's or alternative frame bikes,... view full answer...
In order to use the SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box - Roof Mount - 18 Cubic Feet, # SR7018, or any cargo box or cargo bag, you will need to at least have cross bars that run side to side on your Saturn Vue. If you can provide me with the year Saturn Vue you have, I will be able to find a roof rack that will allow you to use a cargo box. view full answer...
