The Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR would be more what you are looking for. The remote of this system that installs in the tow vehicle will show a display light when the brakes are applied and then has an additional light that illuminates when there would be a problem.

I would recommend a Class III 2 inch hitch receiver like the Draw-Tite Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # 75556 for your 2008 Saturn Vue XE AWD. Actually, if you were to try to install Curt hitch # C19101 it would require a lot more work than the custom fit hitches for your 2007 Saturn Vue. The Thule Trunk Mount Bike Rack, part # TH910XT is a confirmed fit for your 2006 Saturn Vue. It will not unfortunately work for the 2007 Honda Odyssey.
