Question:
i purchased this t harness about a year ago. the tail lights on my boat trailer shorted out and now i have a right side tail light that stays on all the time? i removed the fuse for half an hour and replaced it but did not reset box. same steady light. is there another way to reset the power box?

What probably happened was that the converter box has blown. This means that it has done its job. The short on the trailer blew the box instead of damaging the vehicle wiring. There is no fix for this and the wiring harness on the vehicle will have to be replaced.
You will need to make sure that the short circuit has been fixed prior to installing and using the new harness. Otherwise the same problem will keep happening until the short is fixed. I have included a couple of wiring FAQs that might also help.
