Supplemental Braking System Recommendation Uses Light Indicator for When Brakes are On and Error
Question:
Would like some detail on the actual operation of this device. What Im looking for is an indication in the coach when there is a malfunction. The description seems to indicate the led and buzzer if enabled will light / buzz when the toad brakes are on. I suppose that is good but Im not sure I want to listen to the buzzer every time I apply the brakes. I only want the buzzer to sound if there is a malfunction. i.e. coach brakes on and toad are not OR toad brakes on when the coach are not. The led as a indicator when toad brakes are on is fine for monitoring normalinch operation. So does this have a condition where the buzzer will sound only when there is a malfunction? If not are you aware of a supplemental braking system that provides the indications as described in the coach? I have a Class A Desil pusher w air brakes. Thanks

The Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR would be more what you are looking for. The remote of this system that installs in the tow vehicle will show a display light when the brakes are applied and then has an additional light that illuminates when there would be a problem.
The Patriot is our most recommended system to as it installs very easily and works very well.
The SMI makes noise everytime the brakes are being applied.
