Recommendation for Trunk Mounted Bike Rack to Fit 2004 Saturn Vue and 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe

Question:

Is there a 2 bike rack that will fit the back of my 2004 Saturn Vue and hubbys 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe ?? I have no roof mounts, his does, but bike too heavy for me to lift that high. not carbon Mostly will be on my Vue, but if it goes, will be using his car in future years. Looks like the straps are nylon ?? How to lock onto car so someone doesnt cut straps with a knife and take rack ?? Thank you.

I personally recommend the Thule OutWay Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, # TH45JV. This bike rack will fit on your 2004 Saturn Vue as well as the 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe and uses sure-tight retractable cables with hooks to anchor the rack to the vehicle. The cables are much more difficult to cut though than the straps used on other racks. The rack also comes with an integrated cable lock to secure the bikes to the rack.

If you will be carrying any women's, children's or alternative frame bikes, I recommend picking up the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT. Bikes with small or angled frames can be difficult to load on hanging style bike racks and they can cause ground clearance issues. This adapter will allow you to load the bikes easily and safely. I have also attached a demonstration video of this adapter bar for you.
