A trailer hitch won't keep the hands free liftgate on your 2019 Chrysler Pacifica from working but it may be a little more difficult for the sensors to pick up the movement from your foot due to the extra material that is blocking it. The first thing I'd recommend doing is making sure BOTH fuses are installed, the 10A installed inline in the power feed for the converter and the 20A fuse is installed in position 10 in the fuse box, listed as 'Trailer Tow'.

Curt does a great job with their powder coat finish which is why I typically recommend their hitches over their competitors. Because the vehicle can be damaged due to the weight of 3 bikes it's not recommended that a 3 bike trunk mount rack be used on this vehicle. Your best bet would be to install a hitch and use a hitch mounted bike rack if you need to carry three bikes.

This can be caused by a few different things. If your 2017 Chrysler Pacific did not come pre-wired from the factory, it is most likely wired incorrectly. The red wire coming out of the controller should be connected to the stoplight switch and is most likely where the issue is. The way to test this would be to remove the red wire from the one it is spliced with and run the manual override again.
