Yes, there is a hazard light override feature on the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 that you can turn on via the in-app settings (see photo). We don't offer a plug and play wiring harness for your 2020 Metris, but we do offer a circuit-protected trailer wiring harness to provide a 4-pole trailer connector that would be pretty easy to install that wouldn't require any cutting or splicing. I'd recommend the Tekonsha ZCI, part # 119250KIT that would install as shown in the linked video. The ZCI uses sensors that clamp around the taillight harness wires that can read the current going through the wires.

The trailer brake controller plug on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Metris is located on the driver side behind the center console, under the sound deadening mat in the top left of the passenger footwell. I have attached a photo of this as well. I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 with Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers part # 3063-P which makes for a plug-in-play install.

I have a solution for you, but we don't currently offer the Andersen weight distribution system. It looks like most R-Pod 179 trailers have a dry weight of under 3000-lbs and a tongue weight of around 350-lbs in most cases (your trailer's tongue weight should be between 10-15% of the total weight of your fully loaded trailer). It sounds like something isn't wired correctly or the 4-way connector is bad but you've ruled out the trailer as the source of the problem. You will want to check to make sure that the brown wire is properly connected to the running light wire at the rear of your Metris and that the white ground wire is attached to a bare metal surface that is free of dirt and corrosion. view full answer...
If the tent is not level on your roof rack then your only solution is to install leg spacers to the side that is lower so that you tent will have a more leveled mounting surface. According to the owner's manual, your Metris is rated to tow up to 5000 lbs. I saw no prohibitions regarding weight distribution mentioned, but you'll want to find the ID label on the hitch. If the label on the hitch lists both a towing and weight distribution capacity, then it is capable of being used with weight distribution. It sounds like you already have a 4-way on your 2017 Mercedes-Benz Metris. If you don't, you will need to start by adding one with the # C59496. From there, you can upgrade to a 7-way using the # ETBC7.

The QM6 Fit Kit, part # RRQMFK06 is the correct fit kit for your vehicle, however it's not illustrated very well in the documentation that comes in its packaging. I've summarized the installation process for this kit, which should be found with the individual bars or foot pack for this kit.

While we have not installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76015 in our shop on a 2021 Mercedes-Benz Metris I do have some measurements which will allow you to see where it will fit on your Metris. From the center of the lowest mounting hole(see image) to the lowest point on the receiver is 8-7/8". To the bottom of the end of the receiver you are looking at closer to 8" since the sides of the mounting bracket hang lower than the receiver. view full answer...
