Where is the Trailer Brake Controller Plug on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Metris
Question:
I see answers for the Sprinter under the drivers seat, but none for the Metris of any year. On 2019+ Metris the brake controller plug was standard on every Metris. Trailer brake controller connection will be part of the vehicle standard. Where is the brake controller plug for 2019+ Metris?

Expert Reply:
The trailer brake controller plug on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Metris is located on the driver side behind the center console, under the sound deadening mat in the top left of the passenger footwell. I have attached a photo of this as well. I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 with Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers part # 3063-P which makes for a plug-in-play install.
If you don't want to do all the work finding the connector you can always just use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 since it just pugs in at the rear.
