  • Recommended 50 amp Surge Protector and Power Monitor for RV
  • There sure is! You'll need the Portable Power Watchdog Surge Protector # HU87FR which is designed for the 50 amp power service your motorhome has, and uses bluetooth to send real time watt/volts/amp usage to your phone. Chances are your friends house doesn't have a 50 amp outlet for you to plug into, so you'll need an adapter to plug into a 30 amp outlet # A10-3050FHVP or into a 15 amp outlet with # A10-1550. Keep in mind when plugged in like this only half of your RV electrical panel...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2007 Saturn Aura XR
  • I was able to determine that your 2007 Saturn Aura XR is flat towable as long as you follow the outlined instructions in the owners manual. First thing you'll need is a base plate kit. For that you'd want the part # 523145-1. In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon 2, # RM-520. For safety cables you can use # RM-643. The coiled design...

  • How to Make Third Brake Light Adapter for Cargo Carrier
  • Since your trailer wiring will have the stop and turn signal circuits combined onto one wire you'll need a converter to isolate out the stop circuit for adding an additional brake light. For that you'd want the part # 118158 wired to your trailer wiring and the red wire would carry the circuit needed for the third brake light. You can make a wiring kit for your cargo carrier using a 4-way connector like the part # HM48133 wired to the # 118158 and mounted to your carrier and you'd have...

  • Equipping 2005 Saturn Relay for Towing
  • Starting with the hitch, I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Receiver Hitch, part # 75278. If the vehicle was not equipped with the tow package which included the trailer connector, you will also need the wiring harness, part # 118396 to tap into the vehicle tail light circuits. You will need a draw bar, part # 2753 and a trailer ball. For a 2 inch ball, use part # 19247 for a 1-7/8 inch ball, use part # 19260. Your trailer should have the required ball size stamped somewhere on the...

  • Flat Tow a 2007 Saturn Vue
  • What I think you are asking about is the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit, # RM-15247. This diode kit allows you to use your Saturn Vue's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. This will provide the needed wiring solution to flat tow your Saturn that the Vue's taillights work in tandem with those of the RV. The other items needed to flat tow your 2007 Saturn Vue are, a tow bar, base plates, safety cables and a supplemental braking...

  • Tow Bar Lighting Recommendation for a 2002 Saturn S-Series
  • A much easier solution that would give you a permanent flat tow lighting solution for your 2002 Saturn S Series would be to install a bulb and socket kit like part # RM-155. Basically with this kit you would install an additional bulb in the current taillight housing of your vehicle which the tow bar wiring will control. I attached an install video for this product for you to check out. Or if you really wanted to make a taillight kit with LED light bars you would want the part # STL79RB...

  • Availability of an Anti-Rattle Device For a 1-1/4 Trailer Hitch on a 2005 Saturn Vue
  • Hitch, ball mount, and/or accessory rattle can be annoying and it is a common ailment. Luckily, there is a cure. First, you can make sure that your trailer has the correct tongue weight. Tongue weight should be 10 to 15 percent of gross trailer weight when it is loaded and ready to tow. If tongue weight is correct, you can use an anti-rattle device. I recommend the Anti-Rattle Wedge, # RM-061-125. It is designed to fit in 1-1/4 inch trailer hitches like # 36408 on your 2005 Saturn Vue....

  • Supplemental Braking System Recommendation Uses Light Indicator for When Brakes are On and Error
  • The Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR would be more what you are looking for. The remote of this system that installs in the tow vehicle will show a display light when the brakes are applied and then has an additional light that illuminates when there would be a problem. The Patriot is our most recommended system to as it installs very easily and works very well. The SMI makes noise everytime the brakes are being applied.

  • Multi-Puropse Ball Mount and Class III Trailer Hitch for a 2005 Saturn Vue
  • I would recommend going with a 2 inch, Class III trailer hitch for your 2005 Saturn Vue, like the Curt Class III , item # 13591. In addition, I recommend the Curt Multi-Purpose Ball mount, item # D210, that you referenced. This adapter will give you a 2-1/4 inch drop ball mount and a 2 inch receiver that you can slide your bike rack into. Keep in mind that this ball mount receiver has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity. This means that the the weight in the upper receiver cannot exceed 350...

  • Recommendation for Towing a 2003 Saturn Vue V6
  • The only way I can recommend you flat tow your 2003 Saturn Vue is with a tow dolly like the part # RM-2050-1. None of the base plate kits we offer are confirmed to fit the V6 models of your vehicle so I can't recommend them for you. Using a tow dolly will save you a lot of hassle as it won't require any installation time like a base plate kit and wiring kit, and since the tow dolly isn't vehicle specific you can flat tow other vehicles without having to buy more components.

  • Recommendation for Trunk Mounted Bike Rack to Fit 2004 Saturn Vue and 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
  • I personally recommend the Thule OutWay Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, # TH45JV. This bike rack will fit on your 2004 Saturn Vue as well as the 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe and uses sure-tight retractable cables with hooks to anchor the rack to the vehicle. The cables are much more difficult to cut though than the straps used on other racks. The rack also comes with an integrated cable lock to secure the bikes to the rack. If you will be carrying any women's, children's or alternative frame bikes,...

  • 4-Way to 5-Way Adapter Recommendation for a 2005 Saturn Vue for Trailer with Reverse Lockout
  • I am glad to hear that the Tow Ready Wiring Harness part # 118418 is working great in your 2005 Saturn Vue. All you would need to convert the 4-way of this harness to a 5-way to activate the reverse lockout of your trailer is a part # 20036. You will need to tap into the reverse light circuit of your Vue using the included quick-splice. I attached an installation video for the # 20036 for you to check out also.

  • Supplemental Braking System Recommendation for 2006 Saturn Vue being Flat Towed
  • For supplemental braking for a vehicle being flat towed I tend to avoid recommending the Blue Ox AutoStop as our installers don't care for how difficult the install is or the braking performance. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

  • Help Determining Base Plate Kit Installed on 2008 Saturn Outlook
  • I'll take a look to see what you have if you send me the pictures. If it's a Blue Ox kit it'll be part # BX3330 like what you see in the picture I attached. Sounds like you may be missing the removable arms of the base plate kit, which if that is true the correct part number you'd need for the replacement would be part # BX62-3468.

  • Second Vehicle Brakemaster Kit Recommendation for an RV with BrakeMaster Previously Installed
  • It sounds like your 2003 Alfa See Ya has everything on the tow vehicle side of the equation needed for the BrakeMaster 9000 to work. Because of that all you would need is the RoadMaster Second Vehicle Kit # RM-98160 and the correct seat adapter for your 2005 Saturn Vue, part # RM-88241. For a base plate kit you would want the part # 3111-1 for if you have a 4 cylinder engine or part # 3121-1 for if you have a V6. For lighting you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, and not have...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2007 Saturn Vue
  • Actually, if you were to try to install Curt hitch # C19101 it would require a lot more work than the custom fit hitches for your 2007 Saturn Vue. You would have to access the metal bumper beam which would require removal of the rear fascia. Then once you get that removed it is possible, even likely, that the hitch will not fit. Installation of a custom hitch such as # 13591 is much easier as you can see in the video I have linked showing an example installation. I have also included a...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2006 Saturn Vue 4WD
  • Although the Derale # D13611 transmission cooler would work well with your Saturn Vue, we typically recommend using the largest cooler that will fit behind the grille of your vehicle. The ideal mounting location is directly behind the grill, in front of the radiator and A/C condenser. Because a transmission cooler allows airflow through it, there is not a worry that it will block or hinder the operation of the radiator or condenser behind it. A larger cooler like part # D13502, which measures...
