Recommended 50 amp Surge Protector and Power Monitor for RV
Question:
Is there a device that measures the power I use when plugged into a friends house? I also need a 50 amp surge protector when hooking up to a new rv site. Is there one that will do both?

There sure is!
You'll need the Portable Power Watchdog Surge Protector # HU87FR which is designed for the 50 amp power service your motorhome has, and uses bluetooth to send real time watt/volts/amp usage to your phone.
Chances are your friends house doesn't have a 50 amp outlet for you to plug into, so you'll need an adapter to plug into a 30 amp outlet # A10-3050FHVP or into a 15 amp outlet with # A10-1550. Keep in mind when plugged in like this only half of your RV electrical panel will be getting power, and it will be getting reduced power at that so you won't be able to power anywhere near as much stuff as you could when plugged into a dedicated 50 amp outlet.
