With any trailer and vehicle there will always be a bit of vehicle rear-end squat from the trailer's tongue weight (TW). This means that if the hitch ball is a bit taller than the level trailer's coupler this is okay since this greater height on the vehicle side will offset the squat.

(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from center of gooseneck ball to truck cab.
B = Length of Offset (in your case this is zero)
C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (you measure the nose of the trailer as that's what would potentially hit truck cab).
