Optronics ST16 Series Combination Tail Light Dimensions

Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide

Flatbed trailer over 80" wide with combination tail lights

If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.

To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

After doing a google search for a passenger side rear tail light for my boat trailer, and looking at various websites, I finally found exactly what I needed on etrailer! The delivery was also very fast, plus etrailer reached out to me to make sure everything was OK and i was satisfied with my purchase.

by:

One of the carriage bolts was missing. Had to go to hardware store and get another carriage bolt and nut.
Also the idea that when lights arrived I would install them in the rain is arrogant.

by:

Great company, the customer service is outstanding. The lights work perfectly and were easy to change out. Thank you!

by:

I had to replace my boat trailer lights on my 1995 Sea Ray boat trailer. These were the perfect replacement lights for the matching of the existing ones. The mounting holes lined up perfect, no drilling required, just remove the old and install the new.
It took more time to connect the wires on each side than to mount the new lights.
etrailer had these to me in three days, and there were exactly as described and many choices to pick from. I don't use the boat all that much, If it were newer and I used the boat more I would have went with the LED model. Again and as usual etrailer was top shelf on the shipping and the price!! Thanks folks, I'll be back again.

by:

It worked perfect on my trailer . Thanks

by:

Good tires and rims at a good price.

by:

Lights are a perfect fit replacement for old lights of the identical type. Four day std delivery was right on time. Installed and working fine.

I was looking for a replacement taillight/brake light for my boat trailer. When I clicked on etrailer.com I was impressed with the site and with all of the products and information offered. It was easy to navigate their site and the product info was great. My taillight/ brake light works great and was an exact fit. Very pleased with the whole experience and will order from them again.

So far so good.

Finally got my order for the tail light working with Steph. There had been some sort of ordering mix up at the time of paying thru P ay Pal. I thought that the order was just VERY slow, Steph tracked it down, and the order was never finalized - ?? She then helped me reorder - paid $2.99 for lowest shipping on 6/20, got the tail light on 6/25 (in northern Illinois) - wonder how fast the expensive delivery would have been!! Thanks the Steph for all her help!!! By the way, the light looks perfect, just like the original on the trailer from the dealer.

I bought passenger side taillight and after i got it and some care full eyeballing

by:

Last year I had a teenager learning how to back up with a trailer. This is how I came to need one replacement light. etrailer had a matching replacement light at a good price, and it arrived quickly and well packaged. That light is now starting its second season and is working well. I appreciated the wealth of information that is available on the website, and I found those resources very helpful. This year I have another teenager who needs to learn about trailers, so when the inevitable happens, I'll be back to etrailer!

by:

Tail lights came quickly and are working great. They were exactly the same as the originals. Thank you etrailer!

  • How to Keep Out Water from Electrical Connections on a Tail Light for a Boat Trailer
In order to seal out water on the wiring connections for the Rectangular Submersible Trailer Tail Light, # ST16RB, there are a few things you can do. First, you could use shrink tubing which should be available at a hardware store. Another option is to use a combination of Liquid Electrical Tape, # SWC50122, and regular electrical tape to keep out water. You can also find wire connectors at a hardware store that are designed to keep out water. With these, I would also use electrical...

The ST17RS is the same light, sold individually. ST17RB is sold in bulk, which is how we purchase them. Each assembly has a lead for the brake/directional, a lead for the running lights and a separate ground wire.

  • Will the ST17RB Over 80 inch Rectangular Submersible Trailer Tail Light Fit on a LoadRite Trailer
I did some research online and found that the LoadRite trailer very well could use a light like the Over 80 inch, Rectangular Submersible Trailer Tail Light, # ST17RB (left) or ST16RB (right). LoadRite uses several different styles of light and have recently gone to LED lights on many of their boat trailers. If your trailer is newer and has LED lights you would most likely need the, # STL17RB and # STL16RB, lights to replace the original lights. I pulled the # ST17RB light and did a short...

  • Why Would Trailer Right Stop Light Circuit Stop Working
If the right side brake light is still functioning then it's not a bulb issue. Since the stop light is working it has something to do with the trailer wiring on the tow vehicle. Most likely a converter box is at fault. If you get me the year/make/model of your vehicle I can see what we have as a replacement.

  • Is Optronics Trailer Light, # ST16RB, Waterproof and Corrosion Resistant
The Optronics Trailer Light, # ST16RB, is waterproof and corrosion resistant and rated for boat trailer applications. This light is an exact replacement for Wesbar # 3554 or Peterson # M456.
