Excellent Corrosion Resistance

The simple truth is that salt can be highly corrosive to metal when exposure lasts for an extended period of time. So, the more you tow around it, the more you need to protect your trailer from it.

A rusted trailer jack welded to a trailer frame

The Z-Max zinc finish on this jack offers great corrosion protection, even with occasional use around saltwater, to help to ensure that it doesn't end up looking like the one pictured above. Rust-resistant coatings are graded according to a salt spray rating. Basically, this rating shows the amount of time it takes for a material to show signs of corrosion when exposed to pure, continuous salt spray. Traditional zinc plating typically begins to deteriorate after about 100 hours. Dacromet usually lasts for around 300 to 400 hours. Fulton's Z-Max finish lasts for 600 hours in the salt spray test - 30% longer than a standard powder coat finish.

The environment this test creates is much harsher than anything you'll ever experience in your journeys, but it provides a testament to how well this jack resists rust and corrosion.

How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack lifts your trailer high enough at the tongue to allow you to couple it with your vehicle. Usually, your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your gross trailer weight (GTW). For example, a 10,000-lb trailer has a tongue weight of 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. To raise the tongue of a trailer this size, you'd need a jack that can handle a static load of no less than 1,500 lbs. And, yes, it's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time fishing.

Bought this swivel jack to replace an old non-swivel type on my aluminum I beam trailer. Had to weld up a couple clips but the install was quick and easy. Arrived a few days after the order was placed. Competitive pricing and excellent customer service.

So far I have had no problems with the new jack. Still swivels easily and rolls smoothly on my shop floor. Has plenty of lift capacity for my 2000 lb boat.

by:

Mounts easy and works great.. ( you might look at using better carton or overboxing for online shipping. The box was destroyed and had to be taped up. Fortunately no parts were missing!)

by:

This trailer jack is great and the shorter length overall fixed a big issue for me. Now I have a proper set height on my trailer when towing and can swing the wheel of the jack up and down without setting the trailer ball too high. Really a well built product. This is my second experience buying from e-trailer and both times they did great on shipping. Best of all are the videos and other information demonstrating the products, that makes it much easier to know you are getting what you need.

Perfect match for my Karavan Boston haler boat railer!

Robert

Perfect fit for my Boston Whaler Karavan trailer. Even better than the original, which lasted 17 years. Very solid!

by:

I had one of these new in 1990. Finally wore out after using it about 1000 times. This one is very similar, but even better due to a better shaft bearing on the handle side. Probably outlast the trailer. Very smooth, too. Also, easy install. No photo, but looks like the catalog, but imagine a trailer tongue through the clamping area.

by:

This tongue jack fit my needs perfectly. The Fulton was a name I knew and trusted. I spent the extra money for the heavy duty quality which will pay off when I move this big trailer around in my driveway. The installed grease fitting for the crank gears means I can keep the gear chamber filled with grease and not let any water enter. A real plus. Would recomend.

by:

The Fulton jack was just what I expected.
The
service from etrailer.com was great. I paid for standard (5 to 7 business day) shipping and the jack arrived in four days.
Great Job etrailer.com.

This jack is working great. It fit my boat trailer just as I had hoped.

by:

I installed Fulton bolt on jack on pontoon. Best jack I have owned. Smooth operating gears and wheel rolls well. I also installed swing away tongue hitch. This was easy installation and solved my issues with pontoon being to long for shop door to close. Trailer pulls straight as ever with no play in coupling at all. Very satisfied with all e trailer products that I have bought over the years. THE ONLY PLACE to buy!!!

by:

I have a 17' Maverick Master Angler on a Continental trailer. The OEM jack has never impressed me so I upgraded to the FXP10 when I installed the Fulton swing tongue kit. The large wheel makes for easy movement around the garage and the smooth action on the crank makes raising and lowering the tongue easy.

by:

Very happy with this trailer jack. I have used various brands but always find I like Fulton products the best!

More importantly, Etrailer is the closest thing I have found to in-store personal service on the internet. Live people making sure I was treated properly, got what I needed and asked for then followed through on delivery to be sure I had a good experience. Great Job Kelly S!

by:

Replaced the original Fulton jack on our well-used 1988 trailer. It finally fell apart, but after 32 years, I felt it had led a good life! Hopefully the new one will be of similar quality and durability. I also liked that it had a grease gun fitting for easier maintenance. Easy to install.

by:

These jacks are so well built that I salvaged all the internal parts off of my old broken Jack to use as spare parts for this new jack if and when it ever needs them. They are extremely well built and I would recommend this to anyone needing a quality trailer jack.

by:

Good jack, only downfall is it's a 2 handed or one hand one foot operation, if you go to lower the jack it will not go down, the wheel will only spin, when you hold the wheel with your foot or hand it goes down like it should, once it touches the ground it operates as it should and the wheel allows you to move the tongue around to line it up with the hitch. I wish it would go up or down without the wheel just spinning it would be the perfect setup

by:

The order was filled and shipped in less than 24 hours. The product was in my hands in 4 days from placing the order. The web site was excellent and easy to use. This trailer jack replaced the jack that came with the trailer. I replaced the original jack because it was poorly located and required too much cranking to raise and lower it. This product enabled me to put the jack where I wanted it, raises and lowers quickly and pivots up out of the way while traveling. The jack is very solid, heavy duty and easy to install.

by:

I found the information and pictures online in just a few minutes. Wasn't sure what to expect but I found the FXP10 for my boat trailer and ordered it and when I paid I received an email the next day saying the product was already shipped. About three days later it was on my doorstep. It was the fastest shipment I ever had and it fit the trailer perfect. I will buy all my trailer products from etrailer forever.

by:

My FXP10 swivel jack arrived about three days after the order was placed. The jack and accessories were well packaged for shipment. Etrailer precise specifications and videos were very helpful in making sure that the jack would fit my trailer. The jack is very well made and the installation was simple. Very satisfied with this purchase.

by:

This is my first purchase from etrailer.com
This swivel marine jack FXP10 is heavy duty, way better than anything I could buy locally in the stores. Prompt shipping, installed it on our PWC trailer
which replaced the old worn out swivel jack. “Thanks” etrailer.com
I would recommend this swivel marine jack to anyone who is looking for a quality made product. You won’t be disappointed.

by:

These jacks are fine for the price. I've had several of them and there's not much to say other then I'll second another reviewer in that the wheel does spin while lifting or lowering. If you allow the wheel to spin before it his the ground, the jack won't work so you gotta keep it from moving with your foot. Big deal??? No not at all. Mine only last a few years before the parts get pretty tough to deal with but I'm not religious in my greasing so it may be partly my fault. I'm using this in salt as well. Good enough for me and I haven't found a better alternative.

by:

Nice heavy duty rolling jack for my teardrop trailer. The fixed one was too inconvenient, could not pull the trailer with the wheel attached. This one is perfect for my purposes. Short enough to position down with the trailer on the hitch, extends well past the hitch hight for easy hitch or unhitch. Just what I was looking for

by:

I was very satisfied with this. It was easy to install and after a year of use still works flawlessly. This and all other products I have ordered from etrailer have always been great. Etrailer is always my first and last stop when looking for trailer parts!!

by:

Product is great with large wheel and sturdy construction. The only issues were 1) the shipping clerk threw in the nuts and bolts into the botton of the shipping box. 3 of the 4 mounting bolts were correct and the same. The fourth was the same length and diameter, but the thread depth was different causing me to die the thread length. 2) Also, the large handle spacer was too long for the bolt provided, so that it had to be ground down about 1/2" to accomodate the small spacer. This handle bolt should not be confused with the incorrect bolt supplied in 1) above.

by:

Fulton XP10 better than original 2004 EZ 1000lb Boat trailer Jack.
Now 1200 lb with 1/2 inch pin. Easy to install.
Great service from Etrailer and good price.
Second order from them-first one was an electric brake control.

by:

Excellent trailer jack. Smooth cranking and rolls very easily making hook up a snap. I like the zerk for greasing the gears as well.

by:

Sturdy unit. The one that came with the boat/trailer was only 1000lbs and eventually broke down. This one is rated at 1200 lbs and seems to be much sturdier. Easy to mount, service was punctual. Operates easily and smoothly. Couldn't ask for much more.

by:

Haven't had a chance to install this product yet but it came devlivered as described in the website video. I also just want to say that etrailer is one of the BEST companies I have ever dealt with. This my my first time using this company and their website is extremely helpful and user friendly, their prices are great, and their customer service is the best in the business. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs anything trailer related. Thank you to everyone who works there...keep up the excellent work!

The Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack w/ Caster # FXP10 and Fulton Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack # FTJ12000101 are very similar in many ways. They both have a 2" diameter outer body, are side wind, have 10" of lift, a 6" wheel, are rated for 1,200lbs, fit up to a 3" wide and 5" tall frame, and have a zinc coating for corrosion resistance.
